It runs entirely on solar energy and is 100% nature friendly. It is just a very great place with very good food and very great people. The chef cooked us a fish (very fresh) in a banana leaf coat with a great marinade and it is probably the tastiest thing we have eaten in India so far. It was also a great change from the frequent curry-like dishes you get everywhere else for dinner. The location is amazing (we saw a Dolphin while eating, NOT KIDDING). Music was also great. But the best part was the young men who run the place. They are just very very nice, funny and always willing to chat a bit about anything. Wonderful people, woderful food, wonderful place... We had really nice moments at this place.

Strolled along main road in Marari to the beach and stumbled across this gem of a place. Food freshly cooked to order and you can choose your fish caught that day. We ate a beautiful Kingfish cooked in typical Kerala spices in a banana leaf. Absolutely divine. The best fish we've ever tasted.
Abby and his brothers do a fine job. Highly recommend their place. Everything done with pride and love ❤️. If we weren't moving on to our next destination, we'd be back tonight for more of the same plus the live music. We'll definitely be back in the future. We wish you all the luck and success. Staying at the Marari Beach and decided to head out for dinner here. It was quiet but the service was friendly and welcoming. A welcome change in music from plinky plonk piano at the each resort! We shared fresh red snapper grilled, vegetable rice and spicy prawns. All fresh and nicely grilled. More peoe would have improved the experience so get down there for an evening of club music and fresh grilled fish

After 2 years closed due to the pandemic, we were lucky enough to be the first customers to the re-opening of Cloud 9 on Marari beach. The staff were amazingly kind and friendly and the atmosphere with a roof of fairy lights and the sound of the sea, romantic. The food was a cut above and the chef is an accomplished guy who obviously cares about what he does and who we were lucky enough to meet! Kingfish in a spiced coconut sauce, gobi Manchurian and the thinnest, tastiest 🫓 s I’ve had in India! A man who seeks perfection in a chapati seeks perfection in life!
Easily the best restaurant in Marari and maybe in all of Kerala!

We ate here each day. The juices were freshly made and the iced coffee was delicious. The young staff were friendly although we wish they had opened a little earlier for mid morning drinks. The dal fry and onion pakoras were very moreish but everything was well cooked and served with a smile. All at very reasonable prices. Good spot for the sunset too.

We ended up eating here for most of our meals when we stayed at Marari beach as there are very few options. This one was our favourite as the location was right on the beach. The food is very simple but the onion and cauliflower pakkodas are brilliant. The staff were lovely, only downside is that the food takes a while, be prepared to wait!

I was there for some days at the end of December 2019. Those people are good at what they're doing. They really care for the preparation of the food, the cleanliness of the plates and even the position of the knife and fork when they serve. Yet, with very low prices. Actually, they really seem to enjoy what they're doing, and you can taste the difference! No rush there, just happiness on the faces, and a relaxed atmosphere, on the beach of a calm ocean pace.
If you're still waiting for your plate after a while, do not worry... That's only because the caring of every step of the preparation is in process, and, when the final work will come to you, you'll be convinced you were at the right place for your meal 👌
Surely go there and enjoy every second of it!

I usually do not write review, as I think the word of mouth is stronger than anything But this time I want to share with you my experience: first time in Kerala by myself, Marari Beach is the place to say if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place.. wide beaches, nice sea, and no crowd at all!!! There are few places on the beach where you can eat or drink But the best is certainly Cloud 9 cafe !! The staff is fresh and young, always super kind and easy to help you, it’s front of the beach, right under coconut trees, that will give you shades.. good music playing, sometime also live music! Food and drinks are prepared with love, particularly go for Daal fried 100% Indian style! Just do not miss this place! Hari om, Gaia.

Pleasant atmosphere and location under discreet lights on the beach. We consumed vegetable curries with egg fried rice paratha, chapatis and raita. Very simple but absolutely delicious....The service was exemplary......cheerful, reasonably fast, and with a sea breeze what can one want. It was a pleasant surprise to find this cafe on such a very vast beautifully quiet beach. Food was very good, service was quick and friendly. Staff were attentive and chatty.
Atmosphere of the place was of a beach cafe in Europe. Definitely recommend for breakfast,lunch and dinner.

Delicious food and fresh juices. friendly staff always ready to please you and have fun with you. Cozy environment, just to sit and watch the view is comfortable. Super clean kitchen. You are lucky if you have a chance to attend their live concert

This is an excellent little place that recently reopened after the pandemic. We went there to try something other than the food at the Marari Beach Resort. The guys are very friendly and have a small but very good range of food. I recommend the grill fish and the chilli gobi!

A beautiful open-air restaurant and juicery situated right on the beach. The fish mango curry was incredible and the people are very friendly. Go for a swim in the ocean and then enjoy a nice cold fruit juice, a must-see in the area.

This place makes you not only comfortable but truly at home. The ambience is excellent along with affordable food. On top of that the staff is friendly and like me, you might make a few friends among the crew over there. In short, this place is a must visit of you are in town. Best of luck!

Five stars for the food, drinks and the venue. Spent some time watching the dolphins from our table, is there a better way to spend your time? The fish was freshly caught by the owner himself and cooked to perfection. It’s such good value too. The staff are super friendly and want to please. Very happy customers!
