Lovely surroundings, lovely food, great service, friendly staff. The gardens were lovely and there's a river running along the bottom - very picturesque

We walked over from a nearby hotel to have lunch since this restaurant was rated so highly on TripAdvisor. While the food took some time to arrive, we saw someone going to pluck a banana leaf in which our fish was supposed to be wrapped...for steaming, so they really start cooking from the freshest ingredients after you order, so we didn't mind waiting. Food was really spectacular, well worth the wait and the premium pricing. We had typical local dishes, a prawn, a fish and some okra along with lemon rice. Portions were just the right size for two of us. The restaurant is set in a nice verandah overlooking the pool and a little creek that leads to the beach, lovely environment and very friendly, attentive staff. Also one of the few places in the area where you can get an espresso after your meal, which was a huge plus. The resort looked quite lovely, perhaps worth exploring if we come here again.More

Staying nearby and had read some great reviews so Flamingo was high on my list for a dinner venue. Called twice and on both occasions the restaurant was fully booked. During my second call I asked for some other recommendations and “V” kindly suggested a...couple of other places. 20 minutes later Flamingo called me back and said that they would like to accommodate my guests and I on our requested day and time as we had twice tried to book without success! WOW, how about that for service! Hotel is beautiful, we were led to a table in the gardens where we were served our delicious veg pakoda starters with drinks and then to the lovely dining area for main courses and desserts. Great food, attentive service and luxurious surroundings.More

Had lunch here once. The food was terrible and overpriced. It took over 30 minutes to get the first person’s dish and 45 minutes to get the last person’s dish. Most of us were finished eating before the last dish arrived. Had breakfast here twice....The morning breakfast was terrible and clearly the worst we have had in India. The selection of food was minimal. Basic things were missing from the selection including the typical muffins, bananas and yogurt. They sell beer and wine ILLEGALLY as they do not have a liquor license.More

We visited for dinner. This is a lovely home stay and the staf were very friendly and explained a little about the his story of their family business the service was good and the venue is really cute with a canopied dining area. The open...sides look out onto the garden and pool. The overhead fans kept us beautifully cool. We loved our meal it was fairly simple but well executed. The vegetable Pomona’s were freshly made and really light. We asked for our meal to be medium spice and for once it was. We have found lots of the restaurants tend to assume that Europeans can’t eat spicy food. Chapatis were lovely and fresh. We were too full for a dessert. Excellent value and the staf ensured we had a rickshaw back to our hotel. Great evening and nice to change venue.More

Called in for dinner on the spur of the moment. No reservation, just a walk in. Wasn’t sure if we would get a table as a couple of phone calls had to be made before being told yes. Then we were led to an empty...restaurant which was odd, hey when in India just go with it. Food was ordered and to say there was only us eating too a good 30 mins to arrive, that said when it did arrive it was tasty and fresh. Good paratha to go with the food and a lime soda to wash it down with. No Sign of any alcohol on the menu and I did over hear a guest asking to be told beer was pre ordered usually. Not a problem soda was fine tonight. Also helpful arranging an Auto back to our place. As people have said slightly more expensive but food quality seemed worth what we paid.More

We visited several times during our stay in Marari and each time the food and service was fantastic. Traditional Indian dishes wonderfully prepared. Certainly worth a visit!

A great menu of delicious fresh food. They have 2 trained chefs on hand who are extremely friendly and more than happy to oblige any preferences you might have. The best place compared to other restaurants along this strip - either beach huts by the...public beach of the restaurants in the bigger chain hotels which all tend to be more buffet style.More
