Kiosco is now Valero Restaurant located about midway in the string of restaurants and gift shops at Sosua beach. It doesn't have the atmosphere of the old location (Sosua Beach isn't for everyone, it's a bit honky tonk), but they still serve up the best fish that I've been able to find on the north coast (I lived in DR... We came here on a quiet night and we were pretty much the only people there. It was late and I don't believe they were expecting any more people. The look of the place isn't much and that night it wasn't well lit either. We were getting cold feet and just about ready to make an excuse and leave. Then... More

do you really want to get some drinks and have fun in a dominican atmosphere...this is the place you don't want to miss. Super friendly manager, good food, good drinks, fair prices. Located a bit more remote but a visit worth while. It is situated between Cabarete and Sosoa. Just hop on a motorbike and you will be there in... More

The best in cabarete, I dreamed of a paradise wedding, in contact with nature and thanks to Kiosco beach I got it, the food, the bonfire, the sand, the beach the moon, the music and the people so nice and caring made my dream come true, we were so pleased with this place that we coming back for another wedding... We read great reviews about this restaurant, yet we could never find it. Even most of the taxi guys didn't know how to get us there. We found on the last night of vacation and had such a wonderful and fun meal. We got to know people who work there quite well. This place is on the Beach, between Kite... More

Sorry I only found this with three days to go on my trip but I came back every night for dinner. Food was outstanding, fish soup made from scratch, whole grouper that melted in the mouth, best of all, none of the hassle of the main Cabarete strip places. This is a little beach place all on its own. Taxi... More

I wrote this review with reservation. I did not want to share this incredible find BUT everyone headed to Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete needs to visit and support this great establishment. Very much like the great Soles Bar in Punta Cana, Kiosco Beach has the great service, cold beer and great food. We ate the pasta, the ceviche, a... More

This is my go-to place when in Cabarete. Kiosko is a real taste of Dominicana. A non-descript beach bar & restaurant where you will find locals, expats, and a few tourists lucky enough to have found this place. Manuel and Evelyn serve up the best grilled whole fish (Chillo is my favorite) in town at a price unmatched anywhere. The... More

Personal friendly service, treated like you are old friends, good prices, beautiful landscape, a little out-of-the-way... all reasons to drop in and say hello to Manny and his family.

Description
Small friendly family run restaurant/bar, located on a quiet beach, just off the main road from Sosua to Cabarete (just after Coconut Palms resort coming from Sosua). The setting is beautiful, just off the main road and away from the normal tourist areas, perfect for a visit to the beach followed by lunch under the palms, or an evening meal. Food is very good and very reasonably priced, main meals consists of either chicken, pork, fish or sea food, all cooked in local traditional style. All is cooked freshly to order. The owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome, more like an old friend than a customer. There is a security so the beach area is very safe for people who wish to swim in the sea, or just lounge on the sandy beach. There is a covered area on the beach for the use of customers, free of charge. At weekends they hold a bonfire on the beach which adds to the atmoshpere. We would highly recommend Kiosco Beach to anyone, tourists or locals alike, families, couples or a group of friends. Well worth the trip outside of the all inclusive hotels.
