All reviews spinach ravioli vocational training vegetarian fare nice evening lovely spot great place to eat delicious food nice atmosphere students garden tanzania mt supporting kilimanjaro charity hostel lodge
My colleagues have eaten here a few times and they suggested coming here for lunch today. The menu is vegetarian and not extensive but the food we had was delicious. We shared the steamed buns and momos for starters and 3 of us had the...spinach ravioli and 1 had the tagliatelle for the main along with a few glasses of white wine. We could not fault the food or the service. Probably the best meal I've had in Moshi! We will be back soon!More
I stayed at the hotel for over two weeks. I ate at the restaurant nearly every day as it was the best food in Moshi. Even not being a vegetarian the food is very good and healthy. The staff were great during my entire stay....They were very accommodating and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend the restaurant and lodge for anyone who is visiting Moshi. The views and the set up outside is quite enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good healthy fresh food with great service in a beautiful setting.More
I stayed at the hotel this week,I was impressed by the services offered I cannot complain. The staff are wonderful group very helpful, kind and just amazing I have nothing but praises for them.A downside was they experienced a water problem for a few hours but they...fixed it amd made sure we still enjoyed our stay. What made me very upset as a guest visiting another country there was another guest who was staying was very rude to the staff due to the water problem.I agree it was diffcult but that does not give someone the right to treat staff as nothing and make them look bad and paint a bad image of them. I AM HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THIS PROPERTY.TO THE STAFF YOU ARE WONDERFUL.WILL BE BACK SOONMore
This is not a hotel, this property is a low-end hostel with shared bathrooms but they charge the hotel feel and is managed very poorly. There is no body-towel, no decent soap in the bathrooms, instead of liquid soap they put bar soap which is...not a good choice during pandemic in a public bathroom. They don’t provide blanket, you only get a thin sheet, the lights in the room don’t work so you are in darkness at night. The front desk manager is a mean rude bitter lady. The second day the water totally was shut off in the toilets and bathrooms from 2 pm till night. If you ask for extra service they ridiculously over charge. They asked for $15 USD to wash couple of t-shirts. I found a local driver referred by another guests to take me to the waterfall at a fair price, I asked the front desk to talk to the driver to set the time using my phone, the staff hung up the phone on the driver and told me to use the driver she referred whose fee was triple. You can’t trust the front desk manager at all. I’ve been traveling for ten days in Tanzania so far and everywhere I stayed people were kind, honest and super helpful. This manager is an exception and does not represent what you usually see in Tanzania. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It seems the owners have good intention for giving opportunity to young girls in hospitality business and train them here but I think the owners live in another county and they are not aware how horrible the current manager is treating the guests.More

We stayed here before and after our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. I can not say enough lovely things about More Than A Drop. The grounds were absolutely breath-taking. The staff and service were phenomenal. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Tanzania!
Went to this restaurant with two others. Great garden setting and authentic homemade menu offerings. Had the spinach ravioli and was delicious. Great friendly service, relaxed environment and value for money. Thanks for a great night. Easy to get to via taxi...
I brought my tour group of 25 to More Than A Drop for the second year. The setting in the garden is beautiful, and the staff (predominantly students in this vocational training program for hospitality) did a very good job handling the beverage and food...service for such a large group. The vegetarian fare (a buffet that had been arranged in advance) was delicious and unique, the ambiance of the space was great, lighted by many candles, and my travelers very much enjoyed the experience. There is a good selection of beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages at very reasonable prices.
I will continue to bring groups to this place.More
A wonderful, peaceful setting for a delicious vegetarian meal. We sat outside to eat and were very impressed by the excellent service we received from the friendly and very welcoming waitresses. The meal was good value and I would highly recommend it as a great...place to eatMore
