The facilities are nothing more than a garden restaurant, nothing suggests anything luxurious but the food is overpriced. Normally you pay for tilapia 500-700 but here it was 1500. Fish was good though. I hate ugali and there is no other side dish available.

Initially we were told each fish costs 600-700ksh. But the bill came with 1600 for each Fish. This really upset my Kenyan companions. Way over priced and not worse visiting. Unless you want to be charged extraordinarily tourist prices for ordinal lay fish. We can get better fish in kisumu elsewhere or even restaurant in Nairobi serves better fish for... More

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews and a strong second from my driver, I stopped into Tilapia Beach for an early dinner. I ended up choosing the smallest of the available fish and it was still more than I could eat. I ordered the Wet Fry with Ugali and washed it all down with ice cold Tusker. Some of the... More

This place is quiet but the roads are pathetic. There is need for the waiters to value customers and only serve what every customer orders

so i recently moved to Kisumu on work basis, and boy haven't i looked for good dining places. Early this week with all the work log and deadlines to beat i decided to take a walk along the famous Luangni beach. With a rather tired mind and everyone else striving for your attention to go eat in their hotel, i... More

We arrived late, about 8:30pm in the night during the week and were not sure if we would find food. However, we were served with fish with kales and ugali and it was absolutely delicious. The proprietor needs to rake the good money they are making back into the business to renovate the space. Work with a good designer for... More

The fish was really super. The place is a bit average (service, atmosphere). Was there in the evening. Obviously a lunch restaurant.

This outdoor restaurant is located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The fresh Tilapia and local sides of sukumawiki , kachumbari and ugali (or fries for us Europeans ) tasted great. I rate Tilapia Beach 5 out of 5 for the food and view. However this is out door dining on the lakeside, you have to put up with a... More

This place has enormous potential but isnt realised at all. There is an incomplete structure on the premises as well as some old mabati structures on site that spoil the ambiance. The fried fish was overcooked hence too dry. The "kachumbari" was three large sliced tomatoes and three large onions thrown on a plate. The waiters were difficult to "catch".... More
