Home Plate has easy access to its facility and ample parking even for a truck and trailer. It's wheelchair accessible as well! It's theme is baseball hence the name but it feels homey and the owners have decorated it well. I think it has been around for 20+ years. We were greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere we liked.... More

We had the pleasure of having quite a few meals here, during the week we were in town. The service was excellent! The entire staff was attentive and friendly. The food was marvelous - really good home cooking. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed - it was a pleasure to eat here. My favorite meal was Thursday's special: Southern Fried... More

What about a salad instead of green beans with a meal. Everytime we have eaten there for a function we have no choice and only green beans. What is with the limited butter? I want butter on my rolls and on my potato.

We stopped here for a hearty breakfast before a day touring the national park. Everyone enjoyed the food and portions were nice. The waitress was very nice and attentive refilling our coffee frequently. The only negative I would say is that the toast was heavily buttered and a lot of oil/butter was added to everything, but that seems to be... More

The Home Plate Cafe is very good. My husband and I spent a week in Hot Springs Village in May 2017. We stumbled into this little restaurant one day for a late lunch and it was so good we actually came back again! I had the California BLT on toast with avocado. It was yummo! My husband had the veggie... More

We visited Home Plate Café on 3 different occasions during our stay at Hot Springs Village. It is located about a mile away from the Village itself on Highway 7 North, but the food there was excellent, and the prices were more than reasonable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that they don't serve breakfast all... More

Breakfast here was delicious! If you wanted biscuits and gravy, fried eggs, grits, hashbrowns, etc...this is the place to get it! I had supper one night--fried oysters, coleslaw and onion rings. The oysters were the biggest I had seen in ages--the size of a good hard-cooked egg at least, and not over cooked. The coleslaw was a bit lacking, but... More

If you want a cheap, filling meal in a clean place, "Home Plate" is for you. My husband got a good-sized cheeseburger and chips for less than $5. I ordered the half California BLT and the soup of the day (Steak and Potato). The sandwich was delicious, the soup was ok (tender beef but only one small potato piece). For... More

I had an incredible breakfast at a great price at Home Plate this morning. 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns, and biscuit for only $5.95 is a bargain. There is a reason this is the number one restaurant in HSV. I will be back again.

Thank Paul K
