A decent restaurant in a very nice location overlooking the ocean. In an above average price bracket. Food was ok, but not remarkable. Service was ordinary. Overall, I wouldn't go back, but it wasn't terrible. We had better food elsewhere on Easter Island.

The food is very good - and freshly caught. There is a nice selection of cocktails and white wine, and the service is good. It is a great bonus that the place is so out of the way, and the view over the ocean and the sunset is simply incredible. Highly recommended

Excellent seafood! We had ceviche, which was delicious. Everything is made in a very simple and tasty way. I also tried their pisco sour, which was quite good. The view from this restaurant is amazing, it is really a place to have a nice and down to earth meal, while watching the beautiful ocean. If you are staying at the... More

This place is a bit of a hike if you're walking from town, but the food was great as long as you ate seafood. Fresh, juicy, delicious. Just avoid steak, the sauce was good but the cut was all cartilage. The service was fairly slow, but the view more than made up for it. Try the hammocks!

The setting for this simple restaurant is out of this world and the food was excellent. Enjoyed the entire experience and would have returned again if we had been staying longer on the island. Fish and ceviche were fresh and delicious and the service was good. Very casual environment and very relaxing after a busy day -- you won't go... More

We came across this restaurant when we went for our boat ride to the Motus. Very popular with the locals, front tables are usually reserved with the back tables open for walk-ins. There are no bad spots anywhere you sit. Our small group ordered various entrees: triple plate with octopus, shrimps and scallops; shrimp with olive oil and garlic; pulpo... More

it looked like a dirty old bar, not a restaurant, but when they brought the dishes... Fantastic ceviche, delicious steak, tasty and interesting drinks. Nothing more we needed...

We recently came back from a trip to Easter Island and ate at Tataku Vave. What a great spot to sit and watch the ocean waves and relax with a glass of wine. We ate some lighter fare because it was the middle of the day, but the food we had was very good. The restaurant is a trick to... More

We ate lunch twice at Tataku Vave, partly because we liked the food, partly because we loved the location, and finally because the restaurant is at the end of the airport runway, and we got to see the daily Boeing 787 take off and fly about 100 feet above us. (Don't worry about airport noise here --there are only about... More
