Super Pisco Sours, historic eatery role in El Chaltén and Locro recipe that is classic, traditional choice. Mannequin grabs your attention as you enter. This Locro has white beans and wonderful spices.

In December 2016, we spent 2 weeks in El Chalten. La Senyera became our favorite restaurant in town, mostly because the food was delicious but also because they took Visa (few restaurants do in town). The two women who run La Senyera became like family. They always greeted us with warm, familiar smiles, and the customers were primarily other adults--vs... More

We were looking for something a little different and found it here with some excellent examples of local food (locro- a stew with beef, chorizo sausage, sweet corn beans and veg/ potato.) we saw a good number of clients turned away and wonder if they could make better use of the space they had.

I had a fairly pleasant meal, marred mostly by the glacial service -- and I can't fault the one waitress, the only server for a full restaurant on a Saturday night in peak tourist season; she worked hard, but one employee just isn't enough, it seems. For a main dish, I was intrigued by the Locro, a bean/corn/meat stew, but... More

We stopped here for an early dinner at 5. They were open and had lots of vegetarian choices. Delicious tomato soup. My Caesar salad was perfect. The spinach empanada was good. My husband was not in love with his quinoa burger. Fresh food and decent wifi.

We dined at the Senyeira in mid November and we have been very satisfied of the meal: apetizers with home-made chimichurri, fresh and accurately prepared Locro and Carbonera within a simple table, giving the sense of class. The Malbec wine we choose was good. I would recommend this place for couples or small groups that would like to finely dine in... More

The food is so good that we went twice on our 1st and 4th nights. Food is fresh and delicious without being too salty or fatty. The owner is a smiling hospitable lady who's into healthy cooking. She genuinely cared about customers and made sure we've had a good experience, while not very focused on making profits. It was very... More

Great service...bread and dips are taste much better than other shops...we ordered two main course and both were tasty...very traditional meals and value for money rather than just steak and fish in the menu.
