Usually great food in the restaurant. This time it was not up to the usual standard and left us feeling very disappointed with the quality.

Good pub food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and dog friendly made this an enjoyable early dining experience.

Friendly staff, clean, quiet and attractive rooms. Great beer and whisky selection. 20 minutes to Tredegar, Merthyr. 10m to Aber. Who could want for more?

Nice atmosphere and always busy... attentive staff and well run establishment.. food OK but nothing that special... All a little standard and could be raised a notch or two... However worth a visit.

Staying in Crickhowell, we decided to have our lunch in the Bear. We had the roast dinner. I can certainly say, that apart from my wife's, it is the best Sunday roast I have had.
