This venue is friendly, wholesome food prepared and presented nicely, value for money. It has a lift to the upper floor ideal for older and disabled people.

Upstairs in the Market Hall, with its restored stone portico, you find the beautiful Courtroom Café. We saw it by chance, but it must be the best tearoom in town. We had lunch there, and a bewildering array of dishes confronted us. The staff were...More

Three of us enjoyed a very good breakfast, this is not a fast food venue, as we had drunk our hot drinks a considerable time before the food arrived.

Visited the Courtroom Cafe with friends for lunch week before last and decided to go for a good looking pastie along with some salad. The tea was promptly delivered and was a good brew, but must admit that I was disappointed with the meal when...More

We had a very tasty and meaty chicken ham and leek pie with delicious pastry, served with a wide selection of fresh salad. The food is all home cooked and is excellent value for money. There's a wide choice of sandwiches, paninis and more, and...More

We were fortunate to be able to get a seat in the Court Room Café recently. Normally we get to the top of the flight of stairs only to discover the café is packed with people. However, they have now opened an extra room ,albeit...More

Went in for full English or should this be full cooked Welsh breakfast which they serve until 11.00 am. Nicely prepared and presented with good quality ingredients especially the sausages. Coffee only average. Not so keen on the actual room which was once a magistrates...More

I think you will find all the cake is homemade and not processed or packaged. In which case it's hard to see where it's sell by date would be! It also normally sells out every day!
