Two nights and two days - like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel. The character of this unique house has to be experienced, many original features remain. The staff were completely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and their care and attention to detail went above and beyond what we expected. The dining was romantic and we were never kept... We stopped in on a whim with our party of 9 people, including our 5 children, and were pleased that they were able to accommodate us. We really enjoyed our meal and the lovely views from the dining room. Excellent service. The rack of lamb was delicious. Many thanks for taking us on.

We booked a room - Having toured Wales for a couple of days, believing; quite wrongly that it would be amazing. We originally booked a £91 per night room, pricey as just b&b. Dear God what a run down awful place. This is not a Hotel - It is far from it - Awful!! The room we booked was smaller... More

You booked a standard double for your anniversary stay priced at £87. You asked for an upgrade on arrival and we showed you two rooms - a large double and the premium turret. You chose the turret and said you were happy to pay the £23 difference in cost. The following day, at the point of departure you refused to... More

What a wonderful break we all had. We took our Grandson and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Khalid and Janette in what we can only describe as a calm homely atmosphere. The staff are a credit to them, highly experienced, polite and courteous. The food was second to none and we thoroughly enjoyed everything put in front of us. Simon,... More

Visited here for Saturday valentines night and it was definitely worth booking. The host and all the staff were very friendly, chatty and very helpful. The surroundings were lovely and it was a shame it was dark outside as the view would have topped the night off. We had a drink in the lounge area and chose our meals. It... More

We ate here whilst on a short break to Barmouth. The welcome was lovely and the decor/ location cannot be faulted. However the food is bland and old fashioned. The fish was overcooked and dry. The prawns were in a burnt bitter garlic butter, with a half cooked bread roll nestled in the salad on the plate ? Not great... More

We had not dined here for some years and decided to give it a try. We were a party of four adults. On taking our seats in the dining room (with an excellent view) we viewed the menu (unimpressive, very routine) and were informed of the evenings specials. We tried one of the specials, the soft shell crab, as a... More
