We had a great meal here. The food was very much pub food, but you know what you're getting from the look and feel of the place. The service was quick and the food was pretty good. Weirdly, we saw the guy who served us...two days later 20 miles away in Berwick. Coincidence or some kind of covert post-dining customer satisfaction information gathering exercise?More

We absolutely LOVE this place. We only really go in on a Sunday for the carvery and it's the best. 5* We always have the beef, which is sliced perfectly (not mega thin to skimp like most places) with no fat, always have roast potatoes...and mash, personally love the creamy leeks. Get yourselves in, you won't be disappointed. I'd advise booking a table, it's very popular. Thanks guys & gals. See you soon :-)More

We booked a table ahead of the day, one because the Waggon had been recommended to us and secondly because Michael Buble was appearing at Floors Castle. The restaurant was busy and it looked great, we decided to order off the special menu - crispy...strips of beef with rice and sweet chilli sauce. When the dish appeared we were all a little shocked at the lack of presentation and the fact that the strips huge and deep fried in batter which on presentation looked like several battered sausage suppers flung on a plate. We tried to eat the dish, however the beef was chuck and greasy from the deep frier, therefore we politely mentioned to the waitress that we would not be eating the dish and also not expecting to pay for it, she was polite and asked what we had been expecting. She would refer this to her manager in the meantime we asked for more soda water to finish our bottle of wine which we had still to finish. We were brought the bill and when asked about the drinks her reply was i'm afraid we will not bring more drinks over as we now need your table, finish your drinks and go. I felt this was extremely rude therefore after paying my bill I asked to speak to her manager (Joyce) the manager approached and basically said we are a restaurant not for drinks only service and although apologised did say I don't think that was how it was said referring to the drink up and leave - yes it was which is why I was having the conversation with her. We did book a table, the food was disgusting and then we are told to leave, absolutely shocking service and we shall certainly not return.More

Visited here whilst hiding from the rain on a camping trip. They have a few dog friendly tables but ibwould suggest calling up to see if they are available before traveling. Food was lovely and arrived quickly and is reasonably priced. QR code on the...table allows you to pay the bill on your phone rather than waiting for someone to bring it to you. Would recommend.More

We have been here 7 or 8 times, the food is absolutely amazing, big portions and never a bad meal. Staff are so helpful and you never have to wait for very long for a staff member to come over, definitely keep going back, also...today the blonde waitress, didn't catch her name, lovely, so friendly along with the other members of staff, we definitely recommend.More
