We booked a table for Sunday lunch in advance - 4 adults, a toddler and a dog. Fantastic experience. Very friendly staff, tasty beer, delicious Sunday dinner, cookie dough and ice cream pud. Worth a detour. Yum yum!

Have to say, apart from my own Sunday lunch, today's meal was the best we have eaten in years. The roast beef and entire plate of lunch was, fresh, beautifully cooked and served by friendly waitresses. We are here for a week and after learning...all their beef is outdoor reared, local, grass fed Aberdeen Angus, plus all true produce is locally sourced, we will be backMore

This is our regular haunt in Kelso. We love the personal touch, the smiles and, of course, the varied and exciting menu. All the staff have a personal investment in the pub and the quality is simply amazing. Tempest beer on tap too - wow!...You need to go if you are in town.More

The Cobbles was recommended to us, so we dropped in for lunch. We thought the menu was quite limited - expected to see some salads and sandwiches. We ordered off the starters menu, but the food wasn't great. We were astonished when the curry sauce,...at £3, arrived in the tiniest little pots I've ever seen. It wasn't the authentic chip shop sauce I expected. To be fair, we asked for more curry sauce when we saw the size of the portions, and they did bring more at no additional cost. I'm afraid we wouldn't return to eat hereMore

Went here for a meal with friends and we were disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. The staff didn't even get the drinks order correct and there was only four of us . When the food arrived the order was to...include a burger and skinny fries but came with chunky chips which was OK. I then bite into the burger and it was pink in the middle and not cooked properly apart from being rather cold to eatMore

After an excellent tomato soup, I had a lovely fresh tasting mint and pea ravioli. The lady serving us tempted us to add a side of their chips - they were outstandingly good, hand cut and skins on. And then she tempted us again, this...time to an ice cream - actually from the place opposite, but probably the best ice cream I have eaten! We were lucky enough to be sat in the sunshine for all of this. Super!More

We were fortunate to get a late booking here as the Lemon and Thyme was closed for our original booking (without informing us). Have to say that may have been a blessing in disguise, great little place with welcoming staff, some nice local beers and...excellent food. We will hopefully have a chance to visit againMore

A bistro pub with a decent menu. Excellent home made burger. Best Caesar salad I have had . Laden with anchovies chicken , home made croutons! Don’t miss the homemade gelato brought across the street from their sister shop. Friendly stall

Such a warm welcome and lovely vibrant bar. We visited with our dog and were all fabulously looked after. The menu is varied and after much deliberation we chose the mussels which were deliciously large in a tasty broth along with the seafood tagliatelle which...was equally delicious with lots of seafood and a great sauce. We finished with the salted caramel gelato, the perfect end to a lovely evening.More

We came here last Sunday as a family of 10 and got a great reception and service from the front of house team. We ordered and with in 15 minutes all our starters were at the table and they were rxeptinal followed by the mains...which were also amazing. Credit where credit is due these guys at the cobbles have got something special for such a small venue both the head chef and sous were very welcoming when I spoke to them about the menu and how they make things there, the only problem I had was that I didn't manage to go back again in the time I was there would highly recommend trying the culen skink and shwama. Many thanks again.More

Deceptive, looks like a small pub from the outside; very large, clean and set out like a restaurant on the inside. Nice staff, quick service and nice food. Good selection of beers. Would go again.
