Unusual place with several small eating areas. A good range of specials which changes daily. Nicely prepared and good value - the soup plus option (soup of the day and an additional small plate for an extra £2 is very good value).

I'm sorry that you didn't want anything we had on the menu when you called in. We did offer you soup with gluten-free bread or toast or a couple of gluten-free salads, but our hot vegetarian special, which we regularly alter, was on this occasion...More

The best tea/coffee/light lunch place in Church Stretton. Wonderful homemade food. A small place but worth trying to go to.

I'm so sorry you feel that we are overpriced. Everything here is home-made using best-quality ingredients, so I'm afraid that we just cannot compete on price with places that buy stuff in and/or compromise on quality. We also have to pay VAT, which smaller places...More

Usually call in for amazing lunches but today just had time and space for coffee and some amazing cake instead. We choose the regular coffee which arrived, as ever, hot and at ideal strength. My wife selected coffee cake which was light and rich while...More

Sat awhile before realising we'd left our invisibility suites on. Turned them off and got served, eventually. Very weak tea. Paid with cash as that's the one and only option.More

I'm so sorry, but one of our staff didn't feel well enough to come in yesterday and, because of the short notice, we were unable to replace her, so our service wasn't always quite what we aim for. Without knowing which tea you had I'm...More
