Staying in the Cotswolds and visited this beautiful Italian restaurant. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was buzzing and the staff were friendly and really polite. We all loved it and will definitely return
We visited Nailsworth with a view to having a nice leisurely lunch in an uncrowded quality restauarnt if we could find one. Driving into Nailsworth on the A46 from bath direction we spotted the Amalfi so went to find it after parkingthe car.
Pleasingly, there...is menu posted outside and with such a choice of dishes available it was obviously an Italian 'Ristorante' and not a Trattoria.
We entered and asked for a table for two. The host was most welcoming and showed us to a table close to the air conditioning.
We chose Foccia bread with olive oil and balsamic, Gamberoni al ginger, Smoked salmon and prawn risotto with asparagus (and caviar!). Mine host explained that the dish might be too salty for our palettes with smoked salmon and caviar? We were content with our choice....
A glass of the pinot grigio for my wife and the cabernet sauvignon for me were perfect. Afterwards we shared a delicious Tiramisu and had coffee too.
Indeed a leisurely and delcious lunch in a proper Italian restaurant! We could easily been in Milan!
Though and hour's drive from home, we shall return. The food is excellent and the service impecable. Thoroughly recommended.More
I couldn’t rate Amalfi’s more highly, their service is excellent, the food is great and the location is lovely. We regularly got takeout from Amalfi’s during lockdown and it’s been great to be able to visit in person. Each time we visit they are so...welcoming and it just makes us want to keep coming back to support them. A real gem.More
Easily the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited in my life. Service is impeccable. Family run restaurant makes this establishment one of the best. The food is incredible.
We are on holiday in the cotswolds from Norfolk and arranged to eat at amalfi on...the Saturday when we arrived and because of our experience on the Saturday we arranged to eat there again this evening. We would come back to the cotswolds just to be able to visit this restaurant.More
Amalfi in Nailsworth is our go to for a take out pizza, and worth the 25 minute drive from our house. We keep coming back regularly and are always very happy and satisfied with their friendly service and great pizza.
Staff were so kind and friendly. I was picking up 8 pizzas for take away and because I parked my car a little walk away, one member of staff very kindly carried the pizzas to the car with me to help. The pizzas were amazing...too! Definitely would recommend and will be paying Amalfi a visit again some time. Thank you so much Amalfi!More
Really nice restaurant in Nailsworth. Friendly staff, lovely food and a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the food so much, we returned a few days later. Service was at a really good pace, everything tasted fresh. Would 100% recommend and will 100% be back in the...future.More
Wonderful restaurant- great menu with a lot of choice. The specials were also fantastic. Highlights the prawns with ginger, the scallops and the lamb shank. Great pasta too. Best garlic bread ever. The best thing was the super service with a big smile. Wish we...had something like this where we live but booked again for our holiday.More
Expensive menu, sounding promising but unfortunately failed to deliver. Less than average risotto, very sloppy and salty and even the pizza was poor, lacking in topping. Our garlic bread was burnt and the air con fierce, definitely needed a jacket even though it was a...warm evening. Then my ‘pet hate’ the staff telling you that you have enjoyed the food. We didn’t!More
