Generally the food here is good and the drink also with a range of local tipples, in fact sometimes the food is very good. The service is generally poor and you would think some of the staff are doing you a favour

Cannot fault the New Years Eve family get together we have just had at the Kilcot Inn. I had booked a table for 21 family members and we all had a 2 course Sunday Lunch. It was faultless from start to finish. The staff could...More

I phoned to book for lunch for two, mentioned it was my birthday, and requested a table by a window. When we arrived the staff were deep in discussion of admin matters and took more than two minutes to acknowledge our presence, and we were...More

Quite small inside, we liked the log burner section. The loo's were really nice. A quick service for food and it was tasty - good bit of fish.

Great recommendation when visiting family in the area. Nice layout, good menu, friendly host good kids okay area in the garden. Didn’t like the fish as not much of it and wasn’t filleted but everyone else’s food was very good. Well worth a visit.

Previously have eaten here and had very good Sunday roasts.. this time the beef served was uncooked, fatty and chewy.. seemed to be a very cheap cut. We were not even asked how we would like our beef cooked. The Yorkshire pudding was mediocre too....More

This is our second visit to the Kilroy Inn and it doesn’t disappoint. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are lovely and the food is excellent.

Have been here before for sunday lunch but this time we stayed overnight for a birthday celebration. We stayed in 'The Malverns' - the room was very big and full of charm, with a fantastic bathroom and really comfortable bed. We all had a three...More

Reading the reviews on this establishment I was expecting great things. The service was very lacklustre with a food offering to match. The drinks were good.

Thank you for the question JillKirk. As the other kind reviewers have said, we do allow dogs on the patio, both front and back and we do indeed put out water for them. They are also allowed in the bar area of the pub- but... More

A traditional rural pub, surrounded by countryside but easy to travel to. The Kilcot was built in the 1690's and was totally derelict 10 years ago. It was bought by a local family and is still run by that family. The pub was refurbished by local craftsmen, using local materials and that ethos still continues today. Our food and drink offering is local and uses all of the produce available locally. Our juices are from the fruit farm 4 miles away and our ciders from a family firm 7 miles away. The food is all locally sourced and traceable- all of our meat comes from within a 30 mile radius. We also have an extensive vegetarian menu with vegan options. Winner of the 2017 Taste of Gloucestershire Awards Best Pub. Runner up in the Observer Food Monthly Best Sunday Lunch Category Winner of the 2017 Forester Business Awards- Best Restaurant Rooms graded 4* Gold by the AA
