I am a local trader and every Saturday a Whole Hog either chicken or pork for lunch is the highlight of the day. The quality is superb and the quantity is copious. Ally and Gemma are superstars.

Roast pork in a roll, or roast chicken in a roll, deep filled. With all the trimmings too - stuffing, crackling, gravy. Nothing else on the menu! Good value for money too - four pounds for a roll stuffed with top quality meat, whereas an average sandwich in any pub or tea room in the area will fost you £6... More

At the Whole Hog you get the Whole Hog. Job done- only does two sandwiches ( or did when we were there) - all 3 of us had the pork with all the trimmings- apple sauce, crackling etc & poached the only table in this small place to savour them. Lovely.

If this place was in the middle of New York it would have a michelin star. Go down there try it and tell me i'm wrong. I... More

What s find!! Just on the bend walking uphill on the left we could smell this delicious little place. It was raining hard and we needed to shelter and eat. Perfect timing - we chose a bap filled to bursting with delicious roast pork ( my husband chose chicken) stuffing, apple sauce and gravy. Very reasonably priced too. There are... More

We popped in yesterday during a downpour as we could see a free table and wanted to get out of the rain. The pork rolls were superb and we left 20 minutes later feeling very satisfied indeed. Even better, the rain had stopped!

Had a day trip to Lyme Regis as we were close by on holiday and decided we had to have a pork roll for lunch (Sunday roast in a bap!). It was as delicious as usual although it is now £4.00 compared to £3.50 in May, but it is crammed full of pork and whatever trimmings you fancy (onions, stuffing,... More
