We had dinner here twice during our week in Moretonhampstead. Service was efficient and unobtrusive and the food was fine.

We had a warm welcome when we arrived. We were a group of 10 people, and even though we pre-ordered, the food was brought to us timely and very hot. All the staff were attentive, but not pushy, friendly and helpful. The food was of...More

We were made very welcome. Pizzas were exceptional but I particularly liked the Caesar salad with chicken... yum. Great atmosphere and not overly attentive staff. Ticked all boxes for a relaxing afternoon lunch.

Yes you can take dogs into the bar end of The Horse where you can eat, but I don't think they are welcome in the back where the main restaurant is. Exceptional place to eat.
