You can go to a restaurant for a meal, or if you're lucky, for an experience. This falls into the latter, We'd heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to find out. We were not disappointed, this is a restaurant where food approaches art. We were treated to complimentary amuse bouche beetroot meringues. Beetroot is the... More

Visited the Market Bistro to celebrate my birthday. I have numerous allergies. My sister had made an online booking and had detailed my allergies. When we arrived the waiter came to speak to us and went through the menu to identify the ingredients that were present and which allergens could be omitted. The food was fantastic and their attention to... More

At £90 for two (tip and house wine and a dessert wine included), we have today had one of our best lunches ever. Fresh unpretentious but imaginative cooking (crab, soup, beef, fish, and great desserts between us) in a half-empty restaurant which deserves far more custom. Admittedly Friday lunch in a distinctly unaffluent though fascinating ancient town at the end... More

Delicious food and great service! Delicious little pre starter nibbles, beautiful home made bread. Cromer crab was lovely and the cauliflower soup was delicious. We both had fish for main course- the triple cooked chips were fabulous- really crunchy. Puddings were great, lovely wine list aswell. will definitely return if we are in the area. It was the Bistros 8th... More

Found this low profile restaurant months ago, on a stroll around the interesting older part of the town. Vowed to visit for a special meal and finally did last night, for my birthday. Calming, intimate and relaxed interior with exposed beams. Staff were smiley and attentive, without being over bearing. The menu is comparatively short, which suits the indecisive, like... More

Heard about this place but never really thought about going. But we'll worth a visit. Fantastic staff, attentive, friendly and even gave me a £1 for parking the car. The menu was really good and the food I couldn't fault. Great touches with homemade bread and even the butter and other little touches throughout the evening. My starter of kale, egg and beans... been twice in the past year or so once as a group of four where I had the best ever starter tomato soup and chocolate brownie for dessert. Then few months later it was disappointing no basics to choose from all a bit too fancy, no soup or descent dessert. So maybe check the menu before you book as it... More
