Went here in June 2016- The food was amazing and the owners where super friendly. Being from the US we ran into a couple from Montreal and enjoyed a few shots with them(on the house) at the end of our meals. Next time in Nazare will make sure to eat here

We ordered an "arroz de marisco" (risotto with seafood) and it was tasteless. The consistency was too liquid, the fish was not good and we were under the impression that the rice was pulled in only at the last minute. We didnt finish it, we didnt order anything else and we run away

We come here every year. Ala-Riba has become one of the must-go places every holidays. Much better than "Tasquinha" which is just around the corner. The staff is lovely and the food is exceptional! This time we had "Caldeirada Ala-Riba", but their Arroz de Marisco e Cataplana are absolutely amazing. Totally recommen!

Stumbled accross this nice place looking for another restaurant. It is nothing pretentious but the food is good so happy we were. Portions are large so the waiter/owner recommended that we order less and he was right. Simple and tasty food.

After many years coming to Nazare, this happened to be our first time at ALA-RIBA. We loved our experience! Food was delicious, couldn't be fresher and tastier. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant, how could i not: Grandma is in the kitchen...

We have walked past this place many times, but decided to have dinner there last night. We had the usual starters, then the Cataplana, which was the best I have eaten in Nazare, the house wine, which is one we often buy ourselves in the supermarket, was very good value, we were offered an after dinner drink, my husband chose... We decided to come here for dinner after waking passed a super impressive display of fresh lobsters and crabs earlier in the day. We wanted to make a reservation but they do not take bookings. Luckily they recognised us later in the evening so we got a table straight away and they remembered we were after the fresh lobster. It... More

Great place for lunch. Family run with good service (something which is lacking in some places in Portugal that we have visited). We ate a Ala-Riba stew for two persons. A great dish with four kinds of fish, shells, prawns and it could easily feed a family of four. Highly recommended and reasonably priced.

This friendly family staffed restaurant was hands down the best meal in Portugal thus far -- husband and I have been driving everywhere across country. Loved the "Surf and Turf" and the "Cod Dish". The setting is pleasant, and for a Monday night the place was packed. At the end they bring you two bottles of drinks to try them... More

Some locals recommended that restaurant for the generous portion and freshness of the seafood. We ordered the seafood cataplana. Huge dish including a rock lobster, two different crabs, clams, mussels, poussepieds in a tasty broth with greenpepper, tomato onion. It was served with a side of white rice. We started with grilled sardins. The owner placed a bottle of almond... More
