Visiting the area, we decided on going to Carlingford for dinner. We didn't have a reservation at Magee's Bistro and luckily we did get a table as it was a busy Saturday night. We are both fish lovers and the menu attracted us to the restaurant in the first place. The experience didn't disappoint. For starters, we shared the Prawn... More

Had the fish and chips there on Friday evening with 3 friends and it was very fresh, tasty and good portion size. The passion fruit mojito was very great also. Waiter was efficient and talkative which was nice.

Just returned from a trip to Carlingford and dinner at Magees. Greeted warmly on arrival but dismayed to see no lobster on the menu board! We had travelled from Belfast especially for the lobster! Our very genial waiter said he would check in the kitchen and returned to say there were a few lobster, not enough to service the whole... More

If you love seafood or even just like, GO. It was an absolute delight. I picked the sea bass, and without doubt, it was really the best I have ever had, not just at Magees, but in any other country. It was perfectly cooked, and I cleaned my plate. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. There was... More

Visited Magees last night with friends and it certainly lived up and surpassed expectations. The medly of Crab Claws, Lobster and Prawns with a perfect Meuniere Sause was simply divine

We visited here twice whilst staying just outside Omeath. We had read reviews before leaving home in the Wirral so had a good idea what to expect. Our first visit was on a Sunday night and the restaurant was busy. The food was excellent, I especially enjoyed the oyster starter with half and half, i.e. half natural and half in... More

If you are into fish this your place in Carlingford. Service with a smile. The restaurant is nicely laid out. Fish is expensive at the moment this is reflected in the price, one could not fault the quantity or quality. The fish chowder was superb. Mains, Halibut and Prawn superb.

Fresh seafood and lovely cocktails. This is a great dinner spot for a date or for a couples night. You will need to make a reservation as it's very popular. Delicious menu, lovely atmosphere and a great bar. It's on the pricey side but the quality is there which makes it worth it.

So as we waited for almost two hours for them to open (No Opening Times Visible) to our horror we decided to leave... So as we went in to the restaurant we were greeted and we needed a table for three... It was empty about 3 tables out of a possible 30 were occupied... So we were told they will... More
