We arrived at the hotel very late at 9pm. The staff was very accommodating. We had mushroom soup that was very generous and we should have stopped right there. My husband had chicken tandoori, my son had fish and chips and I had chefs seafood plate. Everything was overcooked and over seasoned. Not sure what to say. We came back... More

We had dinner while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is too large to be cosy. Food is OK but too expensive for what you get. Nice "3D wine list".

Delicious food and helpful service. The selection was good and everything we ate tasted delicious. Between the three of us we had lamb and two fish main courses , the food was beautifully presented and the service excellent. It was not cheap but was commensurate with the quality of the food.

The food was good. The service was ok - at least friendly. The food and drinks are very expensive. This may be the fine dining experience you are looking for.

We had a fabulous meal here and the food was really good especially as we stumbled on it. I did the shark starter which will put people off but the Brevenin will bring you back. When in Iceland try something Icelandic ! If not adventurous the rest of the menu is safe but good.

We happened into this restaurant quite by chance, as we were driving back from grocery shopping and got hungry. The first place we were going to stop had 4 buses, so we quickly decided to drive on to the cabin. This restaurant and hotel were on the way so we stopped in. OMG..the food was AMAZING and the wine selection... More

The Grimsborgir Restaurant was lovely. The service was excellent and there were plenty of food options including many local delights to choose from. My favorite was the Arctic Char.

We were two families staying at the hotel. First dinner was buffet due to the festive staff crunch. Had one lunch too. Service is pleasant. Food is otherwise ho hum and expensive. Smoked meats were like salty ashtrays >.< We had better meals at the various cafeterias at tourist attractions even. If you have transport or a guide go to... More

We just had some chicken sandwiches here for dinner with potato fries, that was freshly prepared. We reached the hotel quite late so the restaurant was almost shut and there were hardly any staff.
