Good range of dishes and options; excellent cellar; service was precise, understanding and reassuring; reasonable prices (even the wines!), provided off-menu/off-carte dish on request (request was for very plain food). Décor both faded and refreshed (part way through complete re-decoration?), but overall smart appearance if imagery/artwork a little confused. Tables maybe a bit too close for some.

Really nice dinner served in the garden on a hot dusky August evening. Very athmospheric. Good selection of food and the 3 course meal was 22 euro. One of the nicest meals we had during our stay in France

This is everything you can expect from a local restaurant: a reasonable priced set menu with good quality ingredients, fast and correct service and a nice wine list. Our b&b recommended this one and we were not dissappointed. For only 26€ you can already have a nice menu containing a starter, main course and dessert. It is not the most... More

Lovely restaurant (also hotel) with good value menu but with all the attention and quality of the more expensive menus. The waiter knows his wine and is so attentive. If you are looking for a good quality meal with excellent value and knowledgeable staff, book yourself in.

We just ate some real cooking - better than some of the Michelin places we've been to this summer. It's a simple place, in a logis hotel, but the food really is good. We had a hot and crisp deep fried prawn with wasabi mayo as an amuse bouche then a truly great French take on a burger with fabulous... More

Having researched this restaurant on the internet and seen so many positive reviews we were so disappointed. The food was awful. My husband's starter of rabbit terrine came out in two thin slices like a cheap haslet and my 'deconstructed' salad Nicoise didn't contain any tuna or anchovy but unfortunately did include a completely tasteless blob of cucumber jelly. Our... More

An attractive restaurant run by an attractive family. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and the ambience welcoming. Service is discreet but efficient. The menu during the winter months can be less varied and interesting than during the summer. But it is always of good quality.

Sometimes you find excellent places by chance. I turned off the main road while driving from Limoges to Le Mans and found Au Croissant just before a tremendous thunderstorm. Helpful staff moved me and my food under an enormous awning as the rain came down (although I could have moved indoors) and I enjoyed the rest of my excellent lunch... More
