Three words, The Large Breakfast. A feed for kings. Reasonably priced and tasteful, very friendly staff who were on the ball!
It was nice to start the day off right when I was on the way to knock for my mini pilgrimage, to repent all my sins so far this year, and when I return in December to repent the rest I will definitely return to nicos for the breakfast.

Had a lovely evening meal here that was really tasty. It is a cafe and not a restaurant, but the food was really tasty. Hearty portions and the cafe itself is immaculate.
I have previously had a breakfast here that was also tremendous.
I am not local, but visit often and this is definitely on my good food list.
A wide range of dishes to be had. I had boiled bacon and I loved it.
If I had one tiny little niggle would be to get some club orange in, rather than rock shandy. That's just my preference . I hate Fanta. It wouldn't stop me going again though. 🤌

We called in here while on holiday in the area. Service is a bit brusque and the stairs to the toilet is dangerous as it has worn carpet. The food is good and cheap.

3 of us went there today. It wasn't busy ( only 2 other customers) The white and black pudding and rashers were over cooked. The cappuccino was like tasteless filter coffee. Over all disappointing

My partner and I both had the large breakfast. It was the best breakfast we've had for a long time. This will be a regular stop for us. Really good food, really good service, really cost effective. Thank you Nico

We have Been eating here most evenings during the week over the past 2 years staying about town with work , the owner and chef of this place us top class and real hard working fella food and service ate both first class and nothing is to much bother, closing time is 7 o clock and sometimes we can b late with work and land in at 6.50 and use know yourself after a days work u just want to finish up but not nico if he's twenty minutes late he's ok with it as I said above top class cafe an fella ...... from the Donegal lads nico thanks again for all the great food

If you want simple food cooked well then this is the place. I have eaten breakfast and lunch here over the past few months and it was good every time. What moves it into the excellent bracket is the price. I have never eaten a breakfast so big or so good at anywhere near that price

Every time we come to Ireland and stay in Knock we drive to Ballyhaunis to attend Nico Cafe, It's lovely! The food is cheap and the food portions are very generous!

We ate here 2 days in a row as food was tasty, priced extremely well and portions were big. Soup and a spud dinner for €9.95, cant beat that. Family of two adults and three kids, ate soup and main course, one was a baby bowl for €36!! No processed gunk! Great menu.. Highly highly recommend :-)
