We were on our way to Phoenix with friends and decided to stop at La Posada for the night. We recommended dining in at the Turquoise Room. This was a first for our friends and they were really impressed with the quality of the food. We were able to experience the deep fried squash blossom appetizer as the blossoms were... More
We went there for lunch a couple months ago and LOVED it. So we've wanted to go back for dinner. Last night we brought good friends there for their anniversary. The salads were fabulous. We all could definitely do those again. But although the service is beyond excellent, the entrees left most of us a bit disappointed. My husband and... More
Very nice restaurant with engaging historic touches. Especially enjoyed the breakfast menu with items from the heyday of Fred Harvey and the Super Chief.
This is a "repeat" visit and we've not been disappointed. A former Harvey Girls restaurant located in La Posada Hotel on the Santa Fe Railroad both dinner and breakfast were outstanding.
Absolutely enjoyed breakfast and dinner here 2 days in a row! The food and the service is top notch and we enjoyed watching the trains go by while dining. The squash blossoms and the corn tamales are simply divine! Also enjoyed the house-made breakfast potatoes with green chile and the prickly pear pancake syrup. We also enjoyed the Elk medallions... I had the halibut and my wife had the lamb 3 ways and they were both excellent. What surprised us is that when we had finished the meal the bar... More

You have to walk through a big shop which can be ignored and recommend a... More
The Turquoise Room is within the walls of La Posada but under separate management. The giant room has a great ambiance with gorgeous chandeliers and beamed ceiling. The dining room was full at 6:30 the night we dined and it was extremely noisy. If you look out into the room, you see a sea of white heads. It seemed like... More
We couldn't get a room at the Posada so we stayed elsewhere in Winslow so that we could have dinner at the Turquoise. Upon being seated we started a conversation with a couple next to us and we ended up having the exact same meals. They lived 40 miles away and came into eat once a week. I had the reintroduced... More
