Just got back from this restaurant. It was 12:00. Hardly any one in there. I ordered the fish and chips. It came with their own homemade tartar sauce. If you don;t like hot things, don't order this as it was very spicy, so I just used plain mayonnaise. They totally ran out of ketchup, REALLY ? Waitress never came back... More

Coming from NY we are very sensitive in our choice for Italian Food. The Italian Peasant is a charming restaurant with good service, although usually crowded. The antipasto for 2 is a must for us with pizza as a main dish! Both very good and satisfying. A must do when we are in the Tubac area!!!

This is our "Go-To" place for pizza. We often have them par-bake to cook at home so it is fresh out of the oven take out since we live 45 minutes away. The other dishes are ok but the pizza and garlic knots are why we go there.

If based on our one visit to this restaurant and the only criteria was the quality of the food, the rating would be closer to average. However, that is not to say the food isn't good. It is, just kind of predictable Italian with no distinct flavors other than heavy tomato. But restaurants are not just about the food. The... More

We ordered a take out so we could go back to our accommodation and watch the debate (2nd). 18 inch pizza was enough for two !! Lovely crisp pizza base. You can make your own topping combination.

We tried the Italian Peasant two nights during our stay in Tubac and found it friendly and busy both times. Not so busy we had to wait, but the staff was having to work hard with a nearly full restaurant. We had an excellent spring salad (we also tried the caesar but didn't care for it), tasty pasta with marinara... More

Good pizzas and salads. The pasta dishes were okay. We had a large group and we ordered a lot of food and passed it around "family style".

We headed down to Tubac in June of this year, and we stopped at Dom's Italian Peasant. We were not sure what we were walking into initially, for it is a restaurant, where you can eat in, but you can also order pizzas for take-out. It was adequately busy (e.g., not crammed and definitely not empty), so we decided to... More
