Before going to Drake Bay friends who had been there told us to do two things: Take the tour with the bug lady and eat at Gringo Kurt! We stayed persistent when it was closed over lunch (as the fresh fish wasn't in yet) tho we really wanted to see the birds coming to the dining area out of the... More

Arriving to Bahia Drake and not eating at Gringo is unbelievable. An atractive person, super unique food, huge for 2 persons, most nicely served. The best dinner during our tour in Costa Rica.

We had the marlin with the daily fish special -so tasty and too much for one person. The rum smoothie was nice. Owner is helpful and informative. I would definitely go again!

He only has 3 things on his menu but the fish changes daily. I never heard of wahoo fish but it was amazing. Very delicious and a lot of food for 2 of us and only 20$. We will definitely go back!

Simple but very great dishes! 1 plate is more than enough for 2 persons. Everyday a different catch of the day. Going back tomorrow again!

Almost forgot to review Curt's spot. That would have been a disservice. We ate here twice. Both nights, we met nice folks, enjoyed curt's wildlife movies, his bird visitors, had more food then we could eat, and enjoy both fresh yellow tail tuna and marlin cooked to perfection. The menu is simple but varied enough to accommodate vegetarians. Curt offers... More

The concept is easy: three dishes to choose from, all with the catch of the day (one veggie option possible). Most of the dishes are enough to share which makes it a delicious option at a reasonable price. We ended having dinner there twice, and we rarely go to the same restaurant twice as we like to try different ones.... More

The best meal we had in Costa Rica. At 10,000 colones for 2 it was very good value for money. The menu is simple - we went for the fish of the day between 2 and it was more than enough and beautifully fresh.

Description
Gringo Curt's Seafood & Visitor Center was established June 2010 and our menu has not changed to date. We have pride in our small menu because it assures that we can provide freshness throughout the year by purchasing fruits, vegetables and fresh fish daily. There are many benefits to having same day caught fish but one downside is that we cannot guarantee a time that we can open. If we have fish at 12pm, we open. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to your visit Pura Vida!
