The food was perfectly adequate and not too badly priced, but was marred by the number of flies settling on us or on our food while we ate. Probably on another day it would have been fine. However after half an hour or so our...plates hadn't been collected (which pleased the flies) and we hadn't been asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. I went to the bar but the barmaid was deep in conversation with a customer and as I spotted the desert board I decided not to intrude and took it back to our table. One of my friends is gluten intolerant so another friend went to the bar and asked the barmaid (who was still having an in depth conversation) if they had any gluten free desserts apart from Ice cream. She said she'd find out. What my friend didn't see as she came back to our table was the barmaid turning back to the man she'd been talking too, pulling a face and rolling her eyes, before continuing her chat. She never did ask if there were any gluten free puddings, so eventually we were obliged to interrupt her conversation to ask for the bill. Maybe we just picked a bad day, but as it was our first visit it will also be our last.More

Visited here last Saturday(13 August) for lunch with relatives. It was very quiet as you would expect as many people opted for the seaside. We ate outside with a nice table with gazebo overhead. We only had a light lunch but it was very enjoyable...and nicely presented. Our waitress, a very young lady, looked after us very well and made sure we had everything we needed. Would visit again when visiting relatives.More

We had a really delicious meal at the Harvest Home today for Mother's Day. The roast dinners were delicious, and very generous portions, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The choice of food was very goid with plenty for vegetarians and the homemade...puddings were wonderful too. Can't recommend this place highly enough after a lovely lunch there with family todayMore

We booked this venue to celebrate the life of a family member who we lost during COVID. Right from the early stages of planning to the actual event and right up to the last guests leaving the staff and management were there to help and...assist, they were able to offer lots of options to ensure this special occasion went to plan. We had approximately 60 family and friends to this long awaited day. We decided on a bbq with wine and beer all of which was perfect and served on time freshly prepared and of excellent quality. The staff were very attentive and professional at all times and were responsive to our guests without being intrusive. Without a doubt it was due to this fantastic team that our long awaited celebration went without a hitch and every single guest had nothing but praise to give. We would recommend this venue for any gathering needed and would once again thank the team for all of their hard work.More
