Had eaten here on a previous trip to S'dale and were excited to return. Unfortunately it wasn't quite as good as our initial visit. Service was friendly albeit a little less attentive than one would like. Chips and salsa were tangy and tasty. Chicken tacos were delicious BUT the pork carnitas, although moist and tender, were immersed in a heavy... More

Thank you for the feedback. I apologize for the lack of attentiveness regarding service. No excuse. The Carne Adovada Tacos are an acquired taste. Adobo Sauce for which the pork is immersed is not as sugary as a typical American BBQ sauce. Thanks for the head's up.... More

This place had good reviews so we tried it, we've tried every Mexican in Scottsdale. It was OK, nothing special. The servers were good, the music was live and really bad, which I think didn't help our experience. Every said their meals were just OK.

Sorry about your less than satisfactory culinary experience. We are more of a Santa Fe Style/Southwest concept. Can you tell me what day you dined and what you had? Anything specific? I will use your email as a training vehicle. Thanks for the feedback, More

Gave it a try, despite the rather long drive from Scottsdale Old Town . We dined on the nice patio. It was Thursday and there was live music. One guy with guitar, did a good job. Our waiter was extremely friendly, knowledgable, patient. Great southwestern food. Given quality, preparation and presentation of food the prices were appropriate. Don't expect a... More

Do not give a history lesson on New Mexico dishes unless you can deliver correctly each dish was bland.

Not a fan of Mex restaurants trying to be haute. Mex is Mex. But this place is awesome! Super fresh ingredients, wood grilled meats and all the traditional dishes along with creative options. Try the stacked enchiladas with Christmas sauce. A bit pricey, but really, really good!

Visit here quite a lot as a seasonal resident in the valley I very much like the chicken quesadilla. My wife usually gets a salad. Staff is always friendly

Chips are fresh and we love their non-traditional salsa. Used pecan wood to roast many of their signature dishes. Stacked enchiladas are very good especially if you as them to kick up the spice. Pork tenderloin is also one of our favorite dishes

There are a lot of variations on Mexican food in the Southwestern US. The Blue Adobe "Santa Fe" Grille descibes itself as having "The New Mexican Difference". Since I was visiting nearby and since I've lived in Northern New Mexico for nearly 50 years, I thought I would give the Blue Adobe a try. The food was OK, but not... More

I stayed in Scottsdale for a couple of nights before coming back from a trip to Phoenix. This place looked really nice from the outside with outdoor seating. The server was very helpful and friendly and I ordered the Cruz kitchen speciality - a tenderloin relleno, smoked pork tamale and carne adovada. The stuffed pepper was a little tough and... More
