The beer is wonderful here and so is some of the food. Fun for a night out at the bar. Within walking distance of the light rail too.

We stopped in for lunch. The vibe is cool, the beer is pretty good, but we weren't impressed with the food. We were also the only people in there not having a liquid lunch, so maybe they're just not known for their food. The quesadilla...More

Description
Sun Up Brewing Company, since 2001, has served beer and food for Uptown Phoenix. Low key, but with 25 different beers on tap & cask. We have a large selection of Mead from the gold medal winning Superstition Meadery in Prescott, and, a gold metal awarded Braggot. Our kitchen with our chef is making fresh, scratch made meals from the new kitchen and serve food for omnivores, vegetarian & sometimes vegan, and we don't leave gluten free diners out . Situated in Uptown Phoenix, the pub is two houses built in the 1940's with an outdoor patio between. Heaters when it's cold, foggers when it's warm outside. Our brewers have over 40 years experience brewing the drink "that saved the world", ale. But we also make ales & lagers, ipa's, whits, stouts, porters & barrel aged brews.
