We were in Ushuaia for a couple of days and staying in an apartment so as soon as we arrived we went out to look for a grocery store for food supplies. The grocery store happened to be closed but then we saw this restaurant across the street. So glad we chanced upon it - they have a huge assortment of quiches sold by the slice for takeout as well as a lot of other bakery items. The quiches came in generous slices and we tried just about all the flavors for breakfast for the next several days - every flavor is super delicious and reheats well. The restaurant looks nice too - definitely a must visit place if you are in Ushuaia.

Although this is primarily a wine and pastry shop (with some locally distilled gin thrown in), when they turn their hand to main dishes, the results are yummy. Fortunately, we had a chance to observe our neighbors' orders. (Ample chance, given that the service was slow.) The portions were so large that we opted to share our chicken with mushroom sauce. It was tasty but still more than we could finish. Our chocolate layer cake was less successful -- a tad dry.

rather nice place, right next to our hotel (los naranjos) and which is on the main street of the city. you have to go upstairs to enjoy a very nice restaurant with fast and friendly service; the dishes are rather copious and at very attractive prices for us. be careful, the pizzas are very generous but so are the desserts

This is a higher-end Italian restaurant in Ushuaia. We were surprised, for as much as a touristy town Ushuaia is, they didn't have English menus.
We knew some Spanish, but the there were many ingredients that we didn't recognize. Our meals were good, and the service was fine, but nothing was extraordinary.
El Mercado is located at the end of town, and it may cater more to locals than to tourists.

Terrible service, but the food was reasonable. We ordered gnocchi with pomodoro sauce (it was very tasty) and 2 meat empanadas. As good as the food was, the food took a while to arrive and when we asked for the bill it also took around 10 minutes.

The food was good, however my waitress forgot to put our entree order in and we waited over an hour for the food. She never apologized or even said good bye she simply sent another waitress to bring our food and the bill. The restaurant has a new modern feel and the food was good but sadly the dining experience was sad. The red fruit juice I would totally avoid, it taste like nothing.

Great food. We came after flying into ushuaia and it was closest to our air bnb. The food was delicious we had the chorizo and mashed potato’s and lamb ravioli, also some cheese. The wine was tasty, we got Malbec. We were also a party of two so we got seated quickly but bigger parties had a small wait. It took a while to get out check but that was the only thing I’d give feedback about. Overall good experience.

We were exhausted from hiking the day before, and we craved fresh, light food. We were able to be seated right away. The basket of bread had a variety and was all delicious and the salads were packed with meat and cheese and fresh lettuce. The dressing was sparsely applied, which I prefer anyway. So I did ask for oil and vinegar.
My husband was pleased with his expresso doble and ate all of his salad.
The food that the other patrons ordered looked spectacular. Very generous portions!
The bathroom was clean and the entire restaurant was modern with lots of windows upstairs. It was delightful and reasonably priced!

The restaurant, the food was ok. However, the service was not the best. There were three of us, two of us ordered hot chocolate, empanadas and croissants and one of us ordered a main course. It was 9PM and the restaurant was full, and we think the waitresses didn't like it. Also, we had to wait half an hour to be seated.

Amazing place, top 5 of Ushuaia. We went for the first time to have a small brunch. Surprised by the abundance of items offered, we asked for two focatties that were excellent, and so large that we still had to take home. Lemonade with ginger and pomelo juice are indispensable. The other day, we went to lunch. We order lamb pastel (soft pasta with crisp coating, roasted with broken lamb) served in a iron pan (single portion) and lasagna a bolonhesa.
