After few days of pasta and great red meat we opt for the local trout and fresh mixed salad. For dessert we enjoyed tea and fantastic tiramisu. BTW there is a taxi stand down the street, about 100 meters from the resturant. Recommend. Tip: Bring with you the resturant card, every hotel has a display of restaurants cards, and enjoy... More

I had the pleasure of ordering and eating dinner at Jauja. Their service was excellent, menu range fantastic and the food so yummy and perfectly cooked. I orders Patagonia Lamb so yummy and the grilled vegetables. One of the best meals. They are also open just that little bit earlier then order places, which was great on a wet cold... More

Our group from the US was looking for a place in Bariloche that served good vegetarian meals as well as Argentine specialties. After we sampled Jauja once, we enjoyed it so much that we returned twice more to try more different dishes from their extensive menu. Everything we ate was delicious, and the servers had good English and were very... More

We had dinner at that restaurant. The food was really good, the problem was slow service. And the restaurant wasn't full at that time, Saturday night at 8 pm.

The restaurant was well-patronized, but I was able to get a table. I ordered the trout, which was absolutely delicious, with a side (enormous) of creamed spinach. I didn't think I'd be able to eat the entire trout, because it was huge. However, I almost scraped the plate to get every last little bit, it was so good. Couldn't finish... More

We went here tonight for dinner. We wanted a restaurant that offered more than just parrillas. The restaurant is very nice and quite large. We went on a Saturday night, there were quite a few customers but we didn't have any problems getting a table right away. I ordered the grilled trout with Rockford sauce, and my husband had the... I had the parillia for two people and while it is a huge amount of meat the quality is low. I ordered the meat medium done and three steaks were totally overcooked. Even though the waiter immediately agreed and brought new meat the quality was poor. The atmosphere is nice but the food is rather disappointing. There are much better... More

Both our tour guide in Buenos Aires and our local hotel in Bariloche recommended this restaurant. They let us sit down before it opened for dinner (we ahd been walking a long time, it was hot and we promised to just order water before opening hours). The owner went over the menu, the waitress paid special attention to our orders... More

This place was fine and reasonably priced. The chorizo sausage appetizer was especially good. Menu was varied--meat and pasta .

Description
Jauja Restaurant and Grill is one of the oldest and most traditional restaurants in San Carlos de Bariloche, with over 30 years of uninterrupted activity. This has led them to have a very caring customer treatment and a very extensive menu, with the aim to offer variety and service, both to tourists and residents; therefore, in our menu, apart from the traditional cuts of Argentina grill and Patagonian lamb special, you will see two types of trout of the area, Chilean salmon, Spanish squid, fried calamari, shrimp and haddock Atlantic. Pasta varieties: vegetable ravioli, pumpkin or trout, sorrentinos, lasagna.
Typical dishes of European cuisine cuts alternate with hunting deer and wild boar. They are also classic smoked trout, deer, boar and lamb, venison and lamb patties, as their variety in desserts make up a large and sober menu. Accompanied by a dozen Argentine wineries that make a balanced menu Rutini wines, Nieto & Senetiner, Terrazas de los Andes, End of the World, Rock, Las Perdices, Tomero or Andeluna, make a wide range of alternatives.
