We were seated immediately without a reservation, very attentive to our questions regarding some items on the menu. The food was delicious

We eat here twice. Steak was good and the local dishes of lentils and the locro where really good. Frendly and helpful. Wine good and all the usual dishes well served. It’s gets full around 10 when the locals come to eat. 7-9 no resavation...needed.More

Our experience at Doña Salta was good. The place is large but cozy, the service friendly and our food was good. Good price for value.

Salta. We came, not as visitors but residents so may have a slightly different perspective. A great place to visit for 2-3 days in the city and about the same in the province. The old town is lovely, but as is most parts of this...once great country, broken and tired. Food and wine: superb! Cheap Don David ($5 bottle) and steak that is simple and wonderful. Provincially there is the mountains, tobacco farms, big rivers that sometimes have water. The best time of year is December to May but expect hot and humid.More

The best meat Empanada we had in Argentina - No kidding. Goat meat was awesome too - cooked in clay oven. And the price was heavenly - 1/4 the price of USA

Good comfort regional food But below average service. We received the check while we got our dessert without asking for it, minutes after a person came to charge us while we were eating! Not worth the hype.

Great food and wonderful ambience. We ordered steak and cheese empanadas and shared a matambrito (that melted in my mouth!) with salad. We had postre Doña Salta which was delicious! The waiter, Mariano, was very friendly and respectful. We will go back .😊

Very disappointing especially as many sources recommended it. But hard to find anything positive to say other than that it was cheap. If you want a good traditional well run local place used by locals go to Jovi Dos.

The place is very large and looks a bit like a cantine made for tourists. We had the "cabrita" which was good, but this is not a place we would return, and we could have avoided. It is too big and inpersonal. It fits well...for large groups.More

The place is always crowded, but you have the option to take away. This is what I did. I waited a reasonable time for my dish to be ready. In general, I found the food a bit oily and not so spectacular as some people...who recommend the place had said. For the same price I could have a better meal in other restaurants.More

We visited Doña Salta twice during our stay in the city. We tried typical dishes such as humitas, tamales and empanadas, of course. We can recommend everything, but the charquí empanadas were super delicious. The place can get really busy so make sure you don't...come too late.More

Largest tourist trap in the history of mankind. Everybody entered the restaurant at the same time. First table was finished after 30 mins. Then the food was ok I guess. This is a tourist money machine with no soul. The waiters also wanted as little...communication as possible to maintain a quick turnaround. They don’t even serve coffees just to get you out as soon as possible. I give 2 stars because the food was not terrible. Overall very badMore

Maybe, but it would be much better to change in a «  Casa de Cambio ». Rate of 3-1-20: 80 pesos/ 1 dollar
