Fernando is an outstanding chef. We spent more time with Gladys (his wife) because Fernando is cooking the meal but she is lovely and he made sure he came out to talk to us and explained the meal. They both talk to us and made sure we were well taken care of. Great experience!

Fernando is an excellent chef - the food was unpretentiously delicious. We spent more time with Gladys as Fernando prepared the food, and she was delightful. She serenaded us and provided us with information about the culture of Mendoza. We would definitely recommend Lo de Fer!

The place is unique, the food incredible, the owners/workers are really beautiful persons. My first time at this resto and i want to come back again. I feel like i was in home, the place is very cozy. I can't describe the experience here. They have to come.

A very unique experience of 'closed-door' dining in Mendoza. The 5 course meal was excellent!! Glady's is an very sweet and friendly host and Fernando is a chef par excellence!! They both would come talk to us after serving each course but leave us alone to enjoy the food. You can tell that each dish was well thought out and... More

by friend's recomendation we visited this place. Only two tables. need to reserve in advance. Delicious home cooking, abundant dishes, small but good selection of wines. The hostess is a really nice lady, but she talks a lot. Be ready to spend some time with her in very enthusiastic conversations.

We weren't overwhelmed by this place but it was a good experience and for anyone thinking of going to a 'closed' restaurant, then go for it. Basically you get a lovely chatty host and better than average food than you'd cook yourself. You pay for the authenticity and uniqueness of the experience and leave with a smile.

The appetizers were good but it was all downhill after that. The pasta course was pure mush and the main course of steak and frozen vegetables was totally unremarkable. We were hoping for an authentic argentine home cooked meal and this was not it. Gladys was very outgoing but we found her annoying and were really glad that there were... More

Could have made a meal on the appetizers. Main course was ok but the hostess made the evening and would go back to spend time with her

Greeted by Gladys, eight of u,s were welcomed into their home. We had been sent the menu beforehand but it exceeded our expectation. We had tapas of olives, sausage, Swiss chard sticks, potato sticks, dip and home made breads followed by black spaghetti with home made tomato and basil sauce. The entree was the best steak we have had in... More
