My husband and I went to The Roost our FIRST time inside and sat at the bar and wasn't even acknowledged, never got a drink sitting at the bar for 15 min. We were there to Paint n Sip and went over to that area...and London who served the group for the Paint n Sip was amazing and we finally got to order our drinks! Loved the Paint class and the host but to just go to The Roost for a drink? No, we definitely will not but besides that we met some really nice peopleMore

I loved the old place 5 years ago, but it was definitely going downhill the last couple years. The menu reduced, tappers were decreasing rapidly and the place was not being maintained. I was excited to find out that they were being rescued by Jon...Taffer. Unfortunately , service is actually worse, food isn’t better but way pricier. Beverage prices are increased but selections are still limited. With so many create local breweries it’s a shame they don’t offer them. We had a lunch and a dinner over the coarse of 10 days. I felt that the level of service to the number of tables occupied was pretty slow and I felt invisible during our dinner experience. They got both orders wrong, and couldn’t get the condiments to the table until I got up and walked to bar to request them. I felt like my sandwich at lunch was microwaved. Fries were barely warm. It’s a shame that given the lack of bar/ restaurant locations that this place can’t capture a bigger client base.More

Decided to stop here since it was to early to check into our hotel. So glad we did the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile. The attention the servers give their customers is above expectations. It was a bit...crowed as the football games were on. Food GREAT and served piping hot.More

My wife and I came here a few weeks ago and enjoyed the food. We came at about 5 and there were already a few families inside. The sandwiches were tasty and the prices were fair. The one thing we didn't like was the inside...tables were tall. My wife has a sore back and climbing into the chairs wasn't easy for her. The service was average, but with the shortage of workers I'm glad they had staffing. We probably won't come back due to the tables, but the food is worth a visit.More

This sports bar has a fabulous food menu with portions that are enormous and even could be split if light eaters. All the tables were full and football was in full swing with all the TV’s humming with games. Glad we found this gem on...our first time to town.More

My wife and I went one week after the grand reopening from the Bar Rescue show to have dinner. It was almost completely full, but we were able to get a table right away. It took four to five minutes to get someone to come...over to give us menus. The waitress was very rude from the beginning. She arrived back at our table with the two watered down ice teas that we ordered about ten minutes later. My wife ordered the Cheese steak sandwich with the cheese on the side, as she does not like the taste of melted cheese with fries. I ordered the Copa Philly with onion rings. We also ordered with it Tabasco, ranch dressing and ketchup. The waitress came back to our table twenty minutes later and ask my wife why she wanted her cheese on the side. My wife told her that is how she liked it. The waitress continued to ask three more times why. I told her just to do it that way, my wife wanted it. She asked again why. My wife said to just leave the cheese off, finally. That seem to make the waitress happy, and she then left the table. Our food arrived fifteen to twenty minutes after that. When the food came out, the sandwiches looked like someone microwaved a bunch of slop and through it on a stale French roll. The condiments never came out with the food. We tried to get the waitress attention, which took another five plus minutes. She said she would be right back. Five minutes later, we got her attention and reminded her that we were still waiting for the condiments and our food was getting cold. She made an unhappy face and disappeared into the kitchen. She returned a few minutes later with the condiments. My wife was only able to eat a few bites of her cold sandwich, and the fries were stale. I was able to eat about a third of my now cold sandwich and a few of the cold onion rings. It took another five minutes to flag her down for our check. After paying, I left a note on the receipt why she received no tip. Evidently they did not learn how to treat a customer from John Taffer Bar Rescue. It would have been nice to have this business turn around for our community. I do not believe they will survive long if they keep doing business this way. Staff should not ridicule the customers, but listen to what they want. They should serve fresh food and not microwave slop. If this is the best they can do immediately after a makeover, they will not survive long. We will not be giving our money to The Roost Sports Bar and Café again.More
