Rapanui is an excellent chain of heladerias in Buenos Aires. We went to the Recoleta branch. I had the Patagonian (El Calafate berries) ice cream. In addition to ice cream, Rapanui is a confectioner that sells chocolates.

There’s no type of chocolate that they have and I don’t like it. Try the white ones especially. Their caramelized and toasted nuts are great, as well.

From a person who lives in Argentina, let me tell you this is the best Ice Cream you will EVER try, trust me. I just can't explain how good it is, not only the ice cream but the chocolates are delicious too. The people who...work there are extremely nice people and the environment is beautiful. Overall, if you ever come to Argentina, you NEED to try Rapanui's Ice Cream.More

Wow! Creamy deliciousness. Generous servings. Don’t miss this frozen goodness. The tazo chica is plenty big. Loved the unusual flavor offerings.

There are no shortages to heladerías (ice cream shops) in Buenos Aires, and we went to a few, but this was the best one! The chocolate ice-cream is rich, creamy, and heavenly for true chocolate lovers like myself. I even went back the next day...to get another serving as I couldn’t stop thinking about it! One note of caution for chocolate lovers: The chocolate caliente (hot chocolate drink) here is not good. It’s more milky than chocolate-y. It’s too sweet, and frankly, tastes like the hot chocolate you get out of vending machines. So, go here for the ice-cream, but not for the hot chocolate! :)More
