The menu is very extensive - many fairly typical Italian dishes, but also some unusual choices. The 3 course "spring menu" consisted of a wonderful starter of fresh asparagus, smoked salmon & walnuts with a delicious sauce, risotto with shrimp, and a fantastic tiramisu. Fresh, light, and delicious. Service was very good, ambience pleasant. Be sure to book ahead -... More

Being suggested by our hotel and checking the net it seemed like a good idea. Firstly the staff did not speak good English. We ordered liver which later we were told whilst being on the menu it was not available. They welcomed us with a glass of proseco and we could not critise with the service. However, the food was... Not all the risotto dishes are excellent. Some are slightly over salted. The pastas are homemade and excellent. Sauces are great. Service is excellent.

Our Airbnb apartment is 20m from the front door. We know Recoleto well having spent 10 days here in a hotel. So we have sampled many restaurants in the area, to find that this friendly exquisite local was on our doorstep was so wonderful. With La Rambles 50m up the street for breakfast, all I can say is I want... More

$154 for three people 2 bottles of wine, seafood tower, and three entrees. Can't beat that with a stick. Caveat: You will be hustled by the locals who beg on the restaurant porch. The staff of the restaurant allows it.

Outstanding Italian food in an impeccable atmosphere. The pasta was the best I can remember ever! We also had the steamed fish and fresh vegetables, which came wrapped in foil, super fresh, healthy and delicious. Wine list impressive and service just wonderful. My new joint favourite pace in Buenos Aires along with Don Julio

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
