Spent 1 week in BA so far, sampling famous Argentinian steaks every day (sometimes twice a day)... So far no where has delivered the quality and quantity of La Cabera. I recommend ordering 1 portion of Lomo fillet (this include 4 x large fillet steaks) and a coupe of sides and that is more than enough for 2 people. They... More

I visited here 7 years ago and absolutely love this place. I came back on my honeymoon with my wife and we were so excited! However, we left disappointed and underwhelmed. The Staff are friendly and very helpful, and the wine is delicious! The side dishes were plentiful and delicious however the star of the meal...the meat..was the worst steaks... More

This was one of the best places I've been in Argentina. They have a special happy-hour time when you can have lower prices and the same quality. But to save money, you have to be there right on time, 20 minutes before opening.

I lived near La Cabrera for a while so went a few times, both solo and with friends, as every local seemed to feel that this was the best parrilla in Buenos Aires. The meat was fine, but given everything I had heard about Argentinian steak prior to coming here, I was a little underwhelmed--I've had many better steaks at... More

We got recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Expensive for backpackers but go at 6.30-8.30 for 40% discount. As we went then understandably it was a bit of a tourist trap but good service, and great food. I'd recommend the Bife de Chorizo 800g with a salad to share between 2 as they bring bread and olives and... More

Although the service was friendly and the waiter spoke English (a rarity in BA) he led us to expensive wine, when there was equally good and less expensive wine available. We massively over ordered as the portions were huge and they must have realised this when we placed the order so we left feeling that we had been rather fleeced.... More

We were lucky enough to secure a table without a reservation on a very busy Thursday night. I had the feeling we were quite fortunate so reserving is probably advisable. There's a nice buzz to the place and the service was excellent; our waiter spoke perfect English and explained the options well. The only black mark would be the overcooked... More

This is a great example of an Argentinian parrilla. If you are meat lover and want to experience a great parrilla, this is the place for you. The bife del chorizo or tenderloins ( all grass fed) are wonderful choices. The meats are grilled( they will suggest rare to medium); very tasty and juicy. They also offer chicken and pork dishes.You... More

1x staff member was rude on arrival however the other waiter was very freindly. We originally didn't understand the bill and we don't speak Spanish so needed some help and missed out on paying the tip. Food was amazing and couldn't fault it. Was great. 40% discount before 8pm but add on 177peso occupancy fee plus 10% waiter tip...is it... More

Was in a party of about 20 celebrating the culmination of a fantastic weekend. We were sat outside in the beautiful BA night, a bunch of four tops lined up together to form one long table, with billing broken down by each table. This detail might seem unnecessary, but enabled our group of four to easily collaborate and order a... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
