We were very excited and happy to try Sintaxis, since my older daughter is celiac. The food was somewhat disappointing, even for "gluten free" standards. My daughter's hamburger was dry and hard, my quiche was over toasted. The lady that seemed to be the owner has a very short fuse with children. We would not come back.

This is a very good all-gluten free cafe/restaurant with lots of choice. Recommended for a stress free celiac meal, with several options for people who don't eat meat.

My husband and I travelled to Buenos Aires and if you are celiac you know that it's really hard to find a place with carbs to eat. I'm so glad we found this place where we were able to eat fries and a good sandwich without worrying about it. Their bread is very good and the service was perfect. They... More

My wife and mother in law were delighted to have the chance to eat at a gluten free restaurant. They were able to have the homemade bread which was very good and took the opportunity to try a variety of things they wouldn't be able to usually. Crunchy sweetbreads were amazing, original and a real highlight. Too bad they decided... More

Being gluten free, I am always seeking out gf restaurants while traveling. We found this restaurant online while searching for gf restaurant recommendations and we are so glad we found it. The menu is in Spanish but we were able to navigate it just fine. We were there in the late afternoon so the four of us each had a... More

As someone who has gluten sensitivity, it is a real joy to sit down to eat in a restaurant where I know my stomach is safe. When you add to that really, really fabulous food, that makes it the best! They have wonderful bread and pastries that they make. I love their empanadas and tortas, because that's what I miss... More

I ate here twice while visiting Buenos Aires and had the smoked salmon wrap with a side salad both times. I was surprised at how tasty the wrap itself was as most gluten-free breads aren't that great. On both visits, the kitchen forgot to include the avocado in the wrap. On my second visit, it seemed like they were running... More

he liked. The ravioli in a cheese sauce was awesome. Something I might have selected if I could have read the menu. The patio kitty made an appearance. Acted like he owned the place.

we were walking down the street and stumbled on this restaurant. We are both gluten free, so it was such a pleasure not to have to worry about what we were ordering. We thought the food was excellent and the restaurant was bustling!

My husband and I really enjoyed the food at Sintaxis. My husband initially was not looking forward to lunch at Sintaxis as he equated gluten -free with healthy and boring. However, Sintaxis really has something for everyone and does everything well. He actually had one of the best steaks during our stay in Argentina at this restaurant. I was thrilled... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
