We arrived at an anonymous black door in an anonymous street. Hardly an auspicious start. However from the moment we entered we were received with such warmth and tremendous hospitality that we could not fail to enjoy whatever came next. The food was without doubt the finest by some margin that we enjoyed in Argentina. The pesto infused Burrata starter... More

I had a truly memorable birthday in Buenos Aires. My wife and I met Ezequiel Gallardo, the chef of Treintasillas, a 'closed door' restaurant, who took us around the food markets in Chinatown. He bought the ingredients for our lunch. Then we went back to his restaurant where we helped him prepare our wonderful 3 course meal - mushroom shrimp... More

I loved that we simply sat down and had no idea what we were going to get. Every single dish that came out for our 5 course dinner was impeccable. Great lighting, nice mood, and great vibe sitting in someones living room. Would totally recommend!

This closed door restaurant is fabulously cheap for what you get. The food was amazing, the service first class and they even offered us a complimentary glass of champagne at the end of our meal. Don't miss it. Look for the red door and the art on the door. Highly recommended. Robyn Weir Jan 2014

When planning our trip to Buenos Aires, my girlfriend and I learned of the "closed door" or private restaurant experience that is gaining popularity in the city. After review of several exceptional options, we selected Treintasillas, and were not disappointed. Obviously the concept of a private restaurant in a residential home may be intimidating, but Treintasillas is easy to communicate... More

We had a truly inspired dinner at Treinta Sillas. The chef creates a new menu each week, and ours was delicious! The atmosphere is cozy, yet interesting. Great wine list with affordable local wines. The garden opens to the Buenos Aires skies (yes, there were stars). We had a spring roll; beet/tomato soup with goat cheese that was delicious (and... More

Fun location, perfect size for our group. Amazing, beautiful salad, lucious steaks and sweet dessert with bottomless glasses (or so it seemed, the staff was very attentive) of lovely wine. The older generation was seated in the 'first class' garden area, so they could hear themselves above the boisterousnous of the 25-45 year old group:). We would definitely come again.

We had heard about the underground food movement in BA & after musch reserach decided to book Trientasillas. We booked via their website online & they were very prompt in getting back to us with a confirmation & address. We are foodies & love to experience good food in all the countries we travel - this was one of the... More
