Saw this restaurant near hotel and gave it a try. Pretty limited sushi menu compared to what we were used to. Red tuna Sashimi was excellent, avocado roll average. Not much for spicy eaters like my wife. Good server, spoke excellent English. Only a few customers when we arrived at 8, but about full, mainly young people, when we left.

I had the displeasure of visiting this establishment whilst on a city break in BA with my fiancée. We arrived at 13:45, at what was obviously a busy time. We were shown to a table outside and left to wait for 20 minutes until we got a menu. This only came when we asked for one. The table next to... More

This was our last dinner in Argentina. Like they say, 'save the best for last'. The food, wine and atmosphere was the perfect combination..!

Not real japanese, but nice presentation and fresh ingredients. Gyoza with empanadas pastry crusting is something strange, but not as bad. On the down side, very distracted and slow service and a very high price.

I'm sorry but when 90% of the menu has Philadelphia cheese in it you know this is not a Japanese restaurant. It does great business so what do I know? The only nigiri they had was octopus, salmon, red tuna and smoked salmon (smoked salmon, really?). However they ran out of tuna which is unheard of. I really would not... More

Very friendly and good service. English spoken. If you are looking for authentic Japanese sushi you will be disappointed. Mostly sushi Rolls (hardly any nigiri) and 9 out of 10 stuffed with the not so Japanese Philadelphia Cheese. I have had better sushi in shopping malls. Is this price range you would expect a hot-towel, green tea and miso to... More

I've been here a number of times already, mostly as a couple. Environment is very nice. Service is very good. Sushi is very well made, tasty, wide offering. Drinks are good and wines list is ok. One issue: it's really expensive as compared to similar offers in BsAs or other cities in the world (Houston, New York).

Tasting different type of food (cooked, sushi, etc.) I'm not sure this is sushi, actually. Probably the raw material is not the best or they try mixing argentine's taste with traditional japanese sushi but my mouth got confused. Is not bad but is not sushi.

Sushi is okay, ingredients are fresh and prepared well, however each item we sampled had an underlying sweet flavor which I found a bit odd. The sushi was good, just not delicious. Chocolate dessert shooters were fun and delicious though! Atmosphere was excellent for a business celebration dinner.

Worth a visit but prices and quality are not equal. My adult son and I enjoyed it but wait staff was overwhelmed, it was national holiday and only one waitress was working, managers and others helped because others were closed restaurant was certainly more busy than usual. I'd go back but would look for better. Types of fish, etc for... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
