The best place for pintos in the city. Great quality. I go quite often to eat at Sagardi, their Pintxos are superb.

This is a Beautiful place with a lot of character. Their tapas are very good. They would need an extra step and be more playful with flavors to make them great. It is a very good choice in the neighborhood.

Perfect spot to gather with friends. "Pinchos" (small bites) are the best to start the evening and drink with friends. Dishes lend themselves to share. The house wine is a great option if you like your reds robust. It can get crowded so I recommend that you make a reservation. The owner himself came to our table and addressed all... More

We were here for a light dinner and ended up having amazing steaks, and an incredible variety of delicious tapas. But the best was the wine. The pleasant waiter/sommelier, suggested some delicious reds and we ended our evening with a very very full meal!! Even the ambiance was very pleasant: modern minimalistic but elegant

Ate here on a Saturday night so understandably was quite busy. We arrived just after 1900 so table service eating was closed until 2000. We partook in the pinchos, appertisers that are that are beautifully presented and heavily promoted. Okay if the main restaurant is not open yet, but I wouldn't bother otherwise as you pay per pinchos, so could... More

We had a lazy afternoon with wine and Tapas at the Sagardi. Inside the place is lovely hardwood with just a few tables outside. They serve food tapas style which you collect at the bar and everything was excellent. Well worth a visit

Best of two worlds:Basque and Argentinean cusine. Excellent tapas as in Donostia or Biarritz. Recommended

I dined in this restaurant for the first time tonight - September 28, 2016 approx. 8:00pm - and was pleasantly surprised. I first saw this restaurant a month ago while walking around the neighborhood late a night. When I arrived to Hotel Anselmo nearby tonight (September 28th) - see review - I decided to stop by the restaurant. Great decision!... More

I walked in... Asked for a table for one... A very rude and unfriendly girl started speaking in very fast spanish: "do you know how it works? It is self-service.... You get the plate... And choose the 'pinchos' , and they are 40 pesos cada". I asked her to please repeat slowly.. She said same thing... I asked: "how do... More

This is a wonderful place to enjoy traditional Basque cooking with all its unmissable ingredients: red meat, fresh fish and great orchard and forest produce to create a varied sample of excellent food. In a city where beef is king, I would place the focus on its fish selection and the excellent desserts. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere make this... More

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
