This restaurant came highly recommended by more than one person so we went with high expectations and were left with a feeling of utter disappointment. The service was decent enough but we found our steaks to be bland and under cooked. We drew their attention to this fact so they took it away and apologised. They brought back the same... More

I visited this restaurant for the second time in one year and was very impressed once again with its unique authentic busy atmosphere and superb service, not to mention one of the best steaks in BA. If you can handle a big portion order the 800 gram bife de chorizo (rump steak) do not get many sides, because they give... More

We went for lunch with high expectations because it came highly recommended by friends. We were seated quickly outside by warm servers. When our steaks came they were not rare as we had requested. When my partner asked for it to be sent back the server promptly took it away without argument but then brought a new steak that was... More

We heard how busy this place gets so we made reservations. We were greeted - or better saying - we greeted the hostess who seemed very annoyed with all the commotion in the restaurant. We were sat within a couple of minutes and a very nice waiter came to our table. I found the place dark, overloaded with nonsense plates... More

I'd be lying if I said the provoleta wasn't fantastic. It is. The provoleta is amongst the best in town. That said, they have a lot of work to do in order on the short ribs and the service side of things. They bring out all sorts of little "treats" throughout the meal. This made my wife super happy. Unfortunately,... More

Who could have thought a steak could be the size of a soccer ball. Well here it is!!! Delicious too. IF we had known the portions were so large we would have skipped the first course of sweet breads. But that would have been a shame because they were so good!! They literally were the size of a chicken breast... More

This was my third time in La Cabrera North (2012, 2014, 2017), so in my opinion they haven't lost their touch over time and it is the best experience in Buenos Aires when it comes to meat restaurants. This was the first time on a table for 2, so, when this is the case, the courtesy little dishes they serve... More

I was staying in a hotel just round the corner and decided to try the original restaurant (La Cabrera Sur) on a weekend, but as it was full, I was referred to the sister restaurant a couple of hundred metres further up the road. It was a Friday night and so I had to wait a few minutes before being... More

The famous La Cabrera was on our list of places to try but they were full. Informing us of an early bird deal where it's first come first serve from 18:30-20:00 and you get 40% off the whole meal we thought we'd give that a go. Virtually the first diners there a few nights later we were shown to a... More

Referred by friends. A bit distance from city center but well worth the taxi ride. Crowded, local, and excellent food. An excellent choice for a taste of Buenos Aires.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
