Nice little pizzeria (and then some) joint on Parana, a stone's throw from the Holocaust Museum in the Recoleta. neighborhood. Try the pasta dishes though a lot of folks seem to be equally keen on the pizza. Friendly service. Grab a table by the window to watch the street; well worth it.

Small traditional BA pizzeria across from a big park. We were Hungary and not prepared to wait for 8pm for dinner. Our hotel suggested here. We sat outside enjoying all that was offered in watching BA families in the park. Waitress was good and fine with our having no Spanish. She taught us some Spanish words. We savoured our Malbec... Nice and prompt, ok price with the empanadas not really anything special at all and had to go on the search again for something a little tastier. They did have an almond and celery which was at least a stride away from the usual suspects, but nothing wow. No charge for delivery.

After 4 hrs of waiting for our luggage to be unloaded then almost a hours drive to the unit...checkin etc...we were starved and happened upon this pizza place while checking out the recoleta neighbourhood. We were very lucky as it was fun ordering in Spanish and hoping what we got was going to be good. Yes it was to the... More

Since we speak English we weren't quiet sure what we ordered, but it was great pizza. The empanadas also were delicious. Small and warm seating inside. Their website is poor.

I asked for a normal pizza - crust baked in stone oven, tomato extract and buffala mozzarella It came loaded with green.olives, which I specifically said I did not want,. a thin tomato juice out of a can, no taste, and a mozzarella from a cow, not a buffala. Service slow and uninterested, they said THEY knew how to make... More

For a quick bite while on the go I really liked Los Maestros. Yes, it is pretty much a temple to all things gluten-filled but there is an Argentinian staple that I discovered called Fainá which is essentially a garbanzo-based flatbread very similar to Farinata or socca. This restaurant offered a plain version and Fainazza (Fainá with scallions) – I... More

In one of the nicest areas of Buenos Aires, Los Maestros offers great pizza in a friendly though small café. The pizza is one of the best in Buenos Aires and the price is very good indeed. The area around is chick with nice boutiques.

I recently ate in Los Maestros when staying in BA. My husband and I were just wandering the streets and came across it located directly across from a park. The weather was nice so we decided to sit outside, it was great. The waitress was great, she checked on us multiple times during our meal, which is almost unheard of... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
