Lunch on our final day in Buenos Aires at this restaurant recommended by friends. Without a doubt the very best meal of our 26 day trip. It was so hot today and the Gazpacho was both superbly balanced and an ideal entree. The Seafood Risotto and Patagonian Lamb were both delicious and the Creme Caramel with dulce de leche a... More

My husband and I ate here on one of our first evenings in Buenos Aires during our honeymoon in October 2016 and we were very pleased with our experience. We were looking for a nice place that did an early dinner (since we were doing a tango class at 9pm and wanted to eat beforehand) and was close to the... More

Nothing more than this: I can´t say if it was bad luck, the place looks very nice, but my girlfriend´s fork was dirty. I payed for the sodas we ordered (before she saw it) an we went to another place.

My wife and I had a terrific dinner here. The atmosphere was wonderful -- beautiful table setting, enough spacing between tables to have an intimate conversation, and cozy sound dynamics. We each had fish and the preparation of each dish was sublime. The waiter was very helpful in navigating the extensive wine list.

I will forever remember this dinner in Buenos Aires. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and kind waiters who knew the menu inside out. The food is absolutely delicious and the wine selection is very good. We had various fish dishes which were all cooked to perfection and shared a dessert between us which... More

I write these lines with great regret. Previous ratings, location and even ambiance of this restaurant give no indication of the desaster one is about to experience. Being greeted by a bad behaved and inattentive waiter should have been a warning to leave immediately. After more than 10 minutes of ignorance by this gentleman and his four colleagues in a... More

One of the top restaurants in the city. A classic for good taste with a cozy eclectic atmosphere, calid reception and of course the best seafood specialties. A wide variety of wines and a very trained sommelier to help with the election makes the place a must in every visit to the city.

Oviedo has been in our list of best restaurants for ten years now and has never disappointed us not the friends we take there. Service is correct, food is always cooked to perfection, and the wine list fits every budget. Seafood is unbeatable in this town of excellent beef.

The atmosphere of the place makes you feel like being at home. Food is good, there are lot of wines to select and the attention is so good. Cost is expensive. Dishes cost $300 each.

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
