The food was fantastic, service excellent. True Portuguese cuisine. Lovely setting. The restaurant is owned and run by one family. Nothing was too much trouble. A hidden gem, well worth the short trip outside Tomar.

Good service and great home cooking, nice room, good wine cart, nice deserts - definitely worth a visit!

Although a bit disappointed, because they didn't have some of the specialities that we were looking for, the ones that they actually had were very good. Delicious deserts. I recommend the cabrito for main course and the tarte de requeijão for desert. With wine, 25 euros each, a bit high, but worth it! The service, although nice and professional, fail... More

We were recommended by Pilar & Pedro from the lovely Quinta do Valle accommodation & we spent both nights at this great restaurant. The owners & family, the wine & the experience in this restaurant was the best. It was a shame that being late September it was quiet, but for us we had some of the best meals anywhere... More

It was an terrific experience. The restaurant was full because of "Festa dos Tabueleiros", however with the sympathy of staff was possible to have a table and enjoy a memorable meal with a very good price. I ate roasted lamb with rice and potato. The wine list it´s very good to, with fair prices but highlighting always the quality. A... More

This place was recommended to us by our innkeeper. We went, were blown away and came back again a day later. The food is outstanding: fresh, delicious, authentic, well prepared yet sophisticated enough to stand up to gourmet standards. The desserts are truly out of this world. The decor is tasteful and versatile - you can find a seat in... More

A Luria is a wonderful restaurant somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but near Tomar. Our friends in Portugal took us there. I was too busy admiring the countryside to take note of how we got there. I can assure you that any drive is worth the trip. The service was wonderful. Our waiter recommended some wines that were not... More

Located in-between little towns outside Tomar, Portugal, hiding this perfect restaurant. Beautiful yet simple decoration, nice set up, very relaxed, agricultural fields extending outside the windows. Like other places in Portugal, the menu is not too rich and includes "from the sea" and "carne". The second is mostly pork, but we chose roasted goat meat, and it was delicious. My... More

We visited on our trip to the Tomar area. Our meal was excellent and the conversation with friendly and helpful Francisco is something we will always look back on with happy memories.

A Lúria is a well-hidden gem. In the middle of a small village, in the land of endless small country roads (where we keep getting lost), we found this excellent and cozy restaurant. The food was superb and service very friendly. Fish, meat and salads was all very tasty, top quality. Ice cream with strawberries and fruit just lovely.
