Food average to good but it took almost 3 hours to get our main course. Service OK. Did get pudding on the house but this didn't make up for the extremely long wait, especially with 4 kids under 6. Won't return in a hurry.

We were grateful to find a restaurant open on Easter Sunday. Donier offered a two or three course lunch, plus, at an additional cost, wine pairing. We sat on the terrace, facing the mountain and the fountain, on a warm Sunday afternoon. I chose wine by the glass, Cocoa Hill Rose wine, and my husband the wine pairing which included... More

We visited Dornier for lunch. For a light lunch one has to stick to the starters. We had first the Ceviche which were absolutely outstanding. As high as our expectation were for the following Bodega Asian Salad as big was the disappointment. The Shrimps were soggy, the bred crumbs not nice, the Papaya tasted moldy and everything was overpowered by... More

My husband and I had a delicious multi-course, wine-paired New Year's Eve dinner at the Dornier Bodega. We arrived around 7:00 pm, and the setting sun made the beautiful mountain-view surroundings even more spectacular. We were greeted with a glass of champagne, which we enjoyed while listening to the live musician and admiring the scenery. Our meal was delicious. The... More

My friend and I arrived on a Sunday without a booking and we were graciously offered a table - however, we were lucky, so best you do book. We were given a table on the terrace with a beautiful vista of the mountains. Faith was our waitron, and what a breath of fresh air - she was friendly, helpful, effecient... More

My wife and I went for lunch. The wine was excellent, we ordered a Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. The main meal consisted of the line fish and pork belly. Both dishes were excellent. The view and service complemented the lunch experience.

We had enjoyed a very pleasant lunch about 18 months ago so decided to return. The terrace and the view have not changed and remain stunning. The Semillon is to be recommended but the mushroom tortellini was very heavy and pasta far too thick. The menu on the whole was too heavy for a hot summer day and could be... More

We booked a table at Bodega to have a nice Sunday Lunch. I ordered the fish which has a corn, accompaniment. I am extremely Allergic to Corn and asked for an alternative vegetable. I was really surprized at the inflexibility of the Chef, who was not prepared to serve an alternative vegetable with the Fish. Instead I was charged R25.00... More

Since 2013 we visited the Bodega at Dornier at least two times a year, as a couple or with friends. Now the new cook had the bad idea to change the tapas menu. Instead of a fixed menu with several tapas dishes and a bottle of Cocoa Hill for 295 Rand, different dishes are offered to choose from. The waiter... More
