This is a nice place to go in George. Food is fine and they have a nice G&T kart, with a professional explaining about it and making them at your table (fair prices!). Service is good, though they tend to overdue a bit .. we...More

Another successful trip to 101 Meade, which we make a beeline for during our annual pilgrimage to George. The revamped interior is a success and the ambience was perfect for my mother's birthday dinner, which the attentive staff made a delight. Complimentary champagne followed by...More

Thoroughly deserves its reputation for a Quality Dining experience. The newly revamped decor is tasteful, the staff are well-trained, efficient and pleasant. The crowning glory however is the food - an extensive menu, well-cooked ,delicious meals beautifully presented. Our guests from the UK were highly impressed.

The drive from Mossel Bay just to have lunch at this very nice restaurant is worth it. We visited 101 Meade for the first time this past Saturday, and it was not too crowded, just perfect. We really like the modern African decor. The restaurant...More

Our passion for quality ingredients began from an early age whilst growing up on farms around South Africa. From Somerset West, Magaliesburg to eventually Baynesfield & Vryheid in Kwa Zulu Natal. We feel blessed to have experienced nature and its bounty all around our beautiful country. We took it all for granted as children, yet today it's our sole focus - sourcing locally and building strong relationships with our farmers to bring the best ingredients to our kitchen and your plate. We have both spent time globetrotting and working in restaurants in London, Scotland, France, Portugal & Italy, yet the Outeniqua Mountains, the wild beaches around George and the Little Karoo on our doorstep were far too enticing... And so we decided to begin our journey at 101. Our philosophy is to keep it Simple, Seasonal & Social! Hope to meet you soon! #Happychefs Jeremy & Ben
