Definitely the best meal we had in 5 days in Cape Town. Very affordable, nice atmosphere, great service. All 6 of us loved our meals.

6 of us went on a Sunday night to Savoy Cabbage. The restaurant was full but we were lucky enough to get a cancellation. It's a big brick double story room with open plan kitchen and a cheeky piece of art work of Desmond tutu...More

We had a nice beef and fresh fish. Good service, nice wine and good food. There was a careful check on incoming people and help to book taxi home.

The service was unacceptable for a restaurant of the calibre. On more than one occasion the waiter sent to deliver our order(who was not trained at all) placed the food in front of my male partner first. He managed to get it wrong three times....More

I've been to the restaurant twice now and both times were unforgettable. This last time I ordered the Gem Bok for a starter and it was very unique and tasty. For my main course I ordered the warthog. Juicy and flavorful. Much better than I...More

My wife, daughter and myself visited Savoy Cabbage for two reasons, one was the excellent reviews on this forum and the fact that it was within an easy walking distance to our hotel, Hilton Cape Town. Decor is industrial and the whimsical interior decor with...More

We went to this place as it was recommended both by Lonely Planet & Tripadvisor. It is a short walk from Long street and it is worth the detour. As expected, service was attentive, food perfectly cooked with wines matching perfectly. This time we stayed...More

Description
Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. Free range organic and ethically sourced ingredients. Allergies catered for. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
