Here you can find good options for breakfast, everything tasting like home made food. Not good for raining days.

We came here on our first day of holiday as recommended by our hotel and we can't recommend this place enough. Yummy fresh food and good service, what more could you ask from a neighbourhood cafe.

A classic cafe stop right in the heart of the Tamboerskloof neighbourhood. With the German school being fairly close by it enjoys a certain European atmosphere. Have visited several times over the past year and never been disappointed with the coffees, cakes and service. Have an Amsterdammetjie with your coffee! Haven't tried the meals, but have every confidence they will... More

I'm genuinely surprised by the less-than-four-star reviews of the Blue Café. This place is a regular spot for me for so many reasons—the staff is so friendly, the food is beyond delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and warm, and it's a hub of community activity for the entire neighborhood and the surrounding areas. The Blue Café is my safe haven,... More

We found this amazing little place by serendipity coming down from our Signal Hill and Lion Head hike. The Blue Cafe seemed like a friendly respite . They have outdoor, indoor and basement areas to sit. We enjoyed their food and attentive staff. Their WiFi is good. The menu offers quite a variety of food and drinks. We enjoyed their... More

The title refers to a South Africanism that means well....ok.... what ever. We went for a quick breakfast and it was ... well .... ok. The service was terrible. The staff don't even look at you, continue chatting amongst themsleves and act like they are doing you a favour when you ask them for the menu. The scrambled egg was... More

Nice menu options, quiet backstreet location, excellent coffee, well priced and good service. Worth a visit if you want to go somewhere quiet.

Lovely little cafe in the heart of Tamboerskloof. Coffee is good, not great and food has always been very good. Nice vibe. Must do.

Lovely café in Tamboerskloof. Hidden away in a residential area. Used to be a tram station. Perfect for sunny days. Sit outside, tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Loved the interior and exterior. Good coffee in beautiful cups. Reasonably priced menu. Breakfast was perfect tasty. This is where you come when you want to relax and have a long slow... More
